Beware of so-called “Canner” when purchasing.

Just a heads up to my canning friends. For the past year I’ve purchased that which was to be Pressure Canners only to find out when they get here that they are Pressure Cookers. I’ve sent them back with an explanation and found later that the companies happenstance-ly ‘changed’ their description on Amazon and Walmart. They knew what they were doing or someone made a big boo-boo. I purchased one from Supra Ant that ‘claimed’ to be a big, beautiful and new Pressure Canner. $183.00. It eas gorgeous but wasn’t a canner. I just recently purchased one from Doxinda Capital….same thing, a Canner advertised as a Cooker. Please be careful ordering these things. Returns are time consuming and can be costly with some of these companies. I want to smack myself for falling for these tricks. I purchased the Doxinda one on a Credit Payment plan and that was time consuming to correct that as well. But they did a good job. (The credit company.) With this one I have to add that the lid didn’t fit the pot.
