Bone meal helps them grow much better and makes the root strong. I sprayed the DE around the plants on the ground especially. Ants left. not many bugs at all. I have Cherokee Purple, Beefsteak, Pink Brandywine, Black Beauty Zucchini, Blueberry Tomatoes, Collards, Red-Yellow-and Orange Peppers, Russian Kale, and 3 containers of potatoes (1 box, 1 bag and 1 white bucket.)

Someone who is a successful garderner said on a You Tube video, “Remember you are not growing leaves, you are growing vegetables and fruit.” Hit me hard. Good advice. I don’t focus on the leaves as much anymore and I’m not afraid to clip them a bit.
