During this Coronavirus lockdown that we are all in, there is something that I would like to suggest to those who can no longer go to work or whatever you do daily. Don’t lock down totally. Get up in the morning, freshen up, dress up, brush the halitosis from your teeth, and cast the pajamas aside. It keeps your mind alert and ready for whatever may come. It’s nice to stay in your pajamas once in a while but try not to overdo it too much to the point of melancholy and depression.
It’s like making your bed in the morning or wiping the kitchen down as you cook. Clean cooks have less to clean when the food is done. They can enjoy their food. Made beds keep your mind psychologically on a level of alert and happiness. You enjoy life more during the day. Don’t let these online platforms make you think that healthy people curse or sleep more. Even Jesus walked on water during the 4th watch. It was during the 4th watch that Israeli fishermen used to be afraid of. Fishermen had a tale that ghosts walked on the water from 3-6 a.m. while men were fishing. That’s why they thought that Jesus was a ghost. Peter put all of the tales aside, perceived His Master and Friend and stepped out of the boat and walked on water with Jesus!
To end, get up, freshen up, and pray up all while “walking on the water” with Jesus. Take advantage of this spiritual time. – Rev Essie
Jesus Walks on the Water
Mat 14:22 And straightway Jesus constrained his disciples to get into a ship, and to go before him unto the other side, while he sent the multitudes away.
Mat 14:23 And when he had sent the multitudes away, he went up into a mountain apart to pray: and when the evening was come, he was there alone.
Mat 14:24 But the ship was now in the midst of the sea, tossed with waves: for the wind was contrary.
Mat 14:25 And in the fourth watch of the night Jesus went unto them, walking on the sea.
Mat 14:26 And when the disciples saw him walking on the sea, they were troubled, saying, It is a spirit; and they cried out for fear.
Mat 14:27 But straightway Jesus spake unto them, saying, Be of good cheer; it is I; be not afraid.
Mat 14:28 And Peter answered him and said, Lord, if it be thou, bid me come unto thee on the water.
Mat 14:29 And he said, Come. And when Peter was come down out of the ship, he walked on the water, to go to Jesus.
