Rev. Esther R Scott
Good Morning Saints and if you aren’t one, consider becoming one so that you can live free of all sin an, covered by the Redemptive Blood of Jesus. Amen.
I pray that your day is going well and blessed and if it doesn’t seem to be Bless it yourself! You have the Most High God within you. He gave His Power to you to use so use it! Hallelujah! Personally I went through a war this weekend but God brought me through. I almost announced a cancellation to today’s episode but I just couldn’t give up on God. My daughter comforted me through it even through she was going through personally herself. Alexi you did a beautiful job of
bringing healing to your mom, I know you were praying, and I thank you babe. I bought her a pizza stone and a pizza lift, spatula, whatever they call it and she’s been making awesome pizza’s ever since. This is why I am speaking on “Oppression” for todays’ edition. It was thick on me this weekend and my faith, my body, my mind was under an unusual attack. I am sure that I am not the only one. I pray that someone who needs to hear this today will know that they are not in this battle alone. God is good, He even sent angels down to comfort Jesus and Jesus IS God!
So grab your pen and notebook or tablet, your drink and your snack and sit back and listen, and I will discuss this right after our Invocation of God’s Ruach HaKodesh, His Holy Spirit.
Isaiah 51 tells us of how the righteous are exhorted after the pattern of Abraham, to trust in Christ. It tells us that God will comfort His church. We have the surety that no matter what happens in life, God will comfort and keep us. Life gets hard at times. Life can throw us a curve ball at any minute and make you feel tired and in some cases, like giving up. God is telling us to rest and leave it up to Him. Too many Saints use that as a signifying hint that someone should shut up and that’s not what the Lord means. We still deliver the unadulterated Word, we just have to be careful of where we go, who we hang with and what we do. An Elder friend of mine that I’ve known since we were little girls, Elder Rita always tells me to continue to preach the gospel. She edifies me and encourages me to keep the race going for the Lord. She loves me and trusts me and I like that. She never belittles me, that’s the devils job. We need more Elder Rita’s amen?
The battle belongs to the Lord. I have a personal Word for you today. i have been picking up in my spirit that the enemy of our souls and all of his gargoyles and imps have been busy working against the Body of Christ. If you have been feeling a bombardment from hell, know that you aren’t alone. The devil likes to hit you as hard as he can so that you will tap out or say “Uncle” as the old arm-behind-your-back game used to go. God has been showing me for the past 2 weeks that He wants His children to rest. You may have heard me say it before or last week on the last episode but I am repeating it again. God says, “Rest, this battle belongs to Me.” Some of you may be feeling inundated with troubles and mean treatment towards you. This is the work of the enemy. Some of you may be having troubling affairs of the heart. satan doesn’t know how to love and he doesn’t want you to do it either. As our title says today, “Oppression”, some of you may be feeling an oppressive spirit using those who you usually can trust or those over you in rank such as in the office place or work place. God says “Maintain your composure, and don’t step out in your flesh, I’ve got this.” You are about to embark upon a wonderful blessing that the Lord has sent to you that will change your life completely. The enemy knows that it is coming but he doesn’t know what it is. Be still. God sees your oppressors. Ps 92:11.
There was a time where lucifer knew that God was doing but God removed him from his position and sent him like lightening to the earth. That special rank that he had, he lost and now, because of Jesus, we have it. That is why he just keeps trying to tire us out and rob us of your sleep. he is jealous. he only uses those who have open portals for him to sneak in. That’s why Jesus said, “Father forgive them for they know not what they do” and “pray for your enemies.” There is an old song that says, “Be still, be still God will fight your battles.” I’ve noticed recently within the past 2 weeks I have been feeling as though I’ve been going through a spiritual battle harshly. There has been so many bombardments recently that, if I were still pre-Christian, I would either lose my mind or say or do something that would not be Christian in nature. Far from it. Have you ever felt like stepping out in your flesh at times? By the Grace of God and the prayers of those who really care, I am making it through. We need to pray for one another even if it’s not a rocking, fervent, heated up, or long and drawn out prayer. When God puts someone on your mind and you don’t know why, PRAY! You may be saving someone from murder, suicide or an overdose. We cannot handle what the enemy has planned for us but we have a God, a Savior Who can! Stand back and see the salvation of the Lord. Amen. Loved one…rest.
Upon reading Isaiah chapter 51, one can see that this chapter is extremely dramatic. We are conscious that we are nearing the revelation of unparalleled excellence. Three times you hear “Hearken” in Isaiah. 1:1-8, and “Awake” in Is. 51:9, which follows, we realize that we are traversing the entrance portal of a noble temple. When God says, “Harken” it is for us to ask Him to fulfill, to Awake!
Recall the loneliness of Abraham. The Word says “He was but one.” Look, Terah died, Lot dropped away, Hagar was thrust out, Isaac was laid on the altar, but the fire that burned in Abraham’s heart only grew brighter. Do not despair if you are alone in your stand for God. One acorn, when the life of Nature touches it, may become parent to a forest. These exiled Jews hardly dared to hope that they could escape from their foes. The air was heavy with their reviling, (criticisms/complaints) but when we compare Isa 51:8 which speaks of moths eating wicked men, with Isa 50:9. they speak of practically the same thing. With such assurances we may face a world in arms. The forces of evil are strong, but God is stronger. The clouds threaten, but the sun is shining. Don’t forget the Lord thy Maker, thy Redeemer, thy Father! He cannot fail or forsake! The scriptures tell us that our enemies will be eaten up like a moth eats old garments. It takes a while for those garments to get old but sooner or later, they do and the moths have a  field day. Yahweh Sabbath, (God of battles), will help us and attend to our plea. God showed me just last night that there is a worm in somebody’s grape arbor. There is someone who may look like they have fruit and their vine may appear full but upon checking the grapes, some have a worm in them. It may seem that they have the anointing because they’ve studied and learned the “how to’s” of preaching but they are only putting on a show. An old-fashioned, legalistic show. God says “Repent and come back to your first love.” Ut-oh, I guess I get some more signifying hints on that one huh? Folks act like they don’t listen but, they do.
Let’s discuss oppression for a moment:
Oppression is a tough spirit to break from. To oppress or be oppress is to keep (someone) in subservience and hardship, especially by the unjust exercise of authority: a system that oppressed working people.
cause (someone) to feel distressed, anxious, or uncomfortable: he was oppressed by some secret worry.
prolonged cruel or unjust treatment or control: a region shattered by oppression and killing.
the state of being subject to unjust treatment or control.
mental pressure or distress: her mood had initially been alarm and a sense of oppression.
This World or should I say, the ‘love’ of this world can lead people into oppression, and some as far as depression, if they continue to look at the glass half empty. God is at the bottom of the glass waiting for you to drink of His goodness and delve into the washing of the Word. Our God is an 11:59:59 God. He could be in that last drop! Some people have lost hope. It is our duty to remind them that Jesus is there for whenever they need someone to talk to or lean upon. The Lord is telling Israel in Isaiah 51:1 and 2 to harken, to listen to Him no matter where we are. At that time Israel was looking at their current circumstances and neglecting to consider that their God, who blessed and increased Abraham will do the same for them. God always reminds us that He is there for us whether we accept His gentle nudges or not. I preached a sermon last year called “Rear View Mirror” and it pertains to this very subject. We need to stop living in the past. This is a new and fresh time to live and worship the Lord. The enemy keeps reminding us of our past and sometimes, I hate to say it, we fall for it. Folks, we are getting nearer and nearer to the return of Jesus and the bible says that ‘some’ of us will not be dead when He comes. The bible says that ‘every eye shall see Him.’ What a beautiful sight that would be. I want to be able to see my Savior coming don’t you?
Is 51:3 Reassures us that the Lord will comfort us and bring restoration to us. Each and every day that we sleep and rise again, God is bringing restoration to us. God doesn’t sleep. We do. While we are asleep, His blessings are falling down all around us. The manifestation comes when you believe it and ‘speak’ it into existence. Life and death are in the power of the tongue. Use your imagination and change your life. Imagination brings on manifestation. The important thing is that we have to be careful of blocking our blessings by speaking curses at the same time.
I believe that the Apostles imagined that they were free from the bonds of prison way before the Angel came to set them free. They sang praise and worship in prison. They knew that God dwells in the praises of His people. They sang from their core and radiated the Spirit of God into their situation. Praise and Worship is important. God doesn’t care if you can carry a tune or not. He loves praise and worship. What would we do today if we were imprisioned for our belief.? I believe that some of us would be so concerned about whether or not someone got in touch with the right lawyer or legal counseling so that we could get out earlier, instead of praising God and edifying the other prisoners around us. Some of the world’s best preachers came out of either prisons or prison-like conditions. Some were imprisioned by lust, alcohol, cutting, drugs, anger, bitterness, self-righteousness, alienation, the victim mentality, and legalism. I find it interesting that we secure and use our new ‘gorgeous’ cellphones better than we do our communication with the Lord. We pay hundreds and some thousands for the latest cellphone and won’t pay ‘attention’ to our spiritual communications with the Lord.
Beloved we live in a very wicked age. And just as Abraham prayed for God to save Sodom and Gomorrah if 10 believers were found, (but none were found righteous but Lot and his wife and 2 daughters,) we are about to see total destruction as never before. And even his wife looked back when she was told by God’s Angels not to and she became a pillar of salt. Instead of feeding the world by being the salt of the world she is now the ‘feed’ of other animals, and beasts.  Non-believers are being sandwiched between two forces. 1. The Word of God that pronounces the current events as in wars and rumors of wars and earthquakes and, 2. the devil doing what he does best here on Earth…bringing mayhem. The only thing that can save man right now is accepting Jesus as his Savior. Jesus saves, but we have to accept that salvation in order to be saved from this cruel and inappropriate world. Some choose to stay in the place of oppression, I choose not. Remember in the dictionary description it said that oppression is the unjust rule of authority? Just as God saved Lot from ruin and oppression, He saves us today. Sodom and Gomorrah were so evil that the men of the town wanted to have illicit sex with the Angels who came to see Lot! They had homosexual advances upon the angels! They pressed upon Lot’s door so badly that the Angels had to close it upon them and smote them with blindness to keep them away! Notice they didn’t kill them, they just blinded their ‘vision’ in the natural since it was blinded in the spiritual already. The enemy has many people fooled. Remember last Sunday I spoke on various ‘Blindfolds?” These homosexual men were blinded by their lusts, and blinded to righteousness. They didn’t “see” the Angels that came to visit Lot in Genesis 18 and 19! They just referred to them they way that they saw them, as men. They were so fleshly that their spiritual perception or their discernment was off. They were sinfully oppressed by the devil. And he still does it today. I am not really happy about the fact that Lot offered his 2 virgin daughters to the gay men just to save the angels but, God forgives. That could have really done some damage to his daughters if not death to them and to the hearts of their betrothed! God can take care of Himself (the Angels that were sent), they didn’t need any help. Lot was clearly operating on fear, even WITH the Angels of God with him! A double minded man is unstable in all of his ways. The Word does say that his spirit was vexed from seeing so much sin in those towns.
Jas 1:8  A double minded man is unstable in all his ways.
His son in laws thought he was kidding when he told them about the city that was about to be destroyed and they laughed and didn’t take him seriously. (Gen 19:14) Some have asked, “How did Lot have virgin daughters if the bible clearly says that he had son-in-laws?” (vs 14, Ch 19) The answer to that is clear that in those days, men ‘betrothed’ women first as in an engagement, without physical relations as we know it today in America. We have to remember that Israel was under stricter laws then when it came to marriage. These were and are God’s chosen people and they do things right. Now let’s get them all to go from Orthodox to Messianic, that would be nice! This is another reason why I preach! It’s like fire shut up in my bones.
The Mosaic Law and 10 Commandments hadn’t started yet because Moses wasn’t in the picture yet. He didn’t come into the picture until around Exodus, which means “Exit?” But! Israel stuck to what may have been taught to them from the Beginning of Time as we know it with Adam and Eve. How else would Cain killing his brother Abel be considered as a sin? And to think of it, while I was previously on the subject of the gay men in Sodom and Gomorrah, homosexuality was brought up in a negative light even before the Commandments or Mosaic Law. Why?  Because made Adam and Eve not Adam and Steve. This act is where we get the word ‘sodomy’ from. To sodomize someone is to enter into a body part that God did not create to be entered, simply put, the anus. In Latin the phrase for it is peccatum Sodomiticum, Homosexual rape.
Notice that Lot was so oppressed that God had to send Angels in to save him from his oppressors. God still does that for us today. He went one step better, He sent a part of Himself, His son Jesus to save us from sin, Hell and eternal misery. Jesus rose off of His Throne in the Godhead, and came to Earth as a baby in a woman’s womb that He has created, to trust her to raise him, so that He could save mankind. He knew Mary was an awesome vessel, humble, meek and with a gentle spirit. He could have chosen a gladiator-type of woman like Deborah who was a judge, a take-care-of-thyself woman but he chose gentle, meek Mary who was betrothed to another man. And out of that family, Jesus became the first child and Big Brother of other kids to come.
Mar 6:3  Is not this the carpenter, the son of Mary, the brother of James, and Joses, and of Juda, and Simon? and are not his sisters here with us? And they were offended at him.
Mar 6:4  But Jesus said unto them, A prophet is not without honour, but in his own country, and among his own kin, and in his own house.
Mar 6:5  And he could there do no mighty work, save that he laid his hands upon a few sick folk, and healed them.
Mar 6:6  And he marvelled because of their unbelief. And he went round about the villages, teaching.
As you can see, Mary had more children after Jesus. This is also why Jesus spoke about the,(what I call the “Maryizers”) in Luke 11:27 A lady blessed His mother’s womb and the paps that Jesus sucked from rather than Jesus Himself! She put the mother above the savior. He corrected her by stating “Yea rather, blessed are they that hear the word of God and keep it.”
Back to Isaiah 51:
Verse 2, the Lord comforts. He comforts us with His Holy Spirit that His Wonderful Son left us, when He went back to Heaven after becoming sin FOR us and conquering satan and his ways.  God says that He will bless and increase us. There is a scripture in the Word where Israel increased so much that it was a concern to their enemies.
Psa 105:23  Israel also came into Egypt; and Jacob sojourned in the land of Ham.
Psa 105:24  And he increased his people greatly; and made them stronger than their enemies.
That’s what God does for the Children of His Kingdom. Every day we increase. Don’t believe what the news says or what you hear on television programs. Although we are going through trials, tests and tribulation, and we may lose some of our members, we are still winning. It would be dangerous to believe the News over the Word.
Are you saved? If you are not just repeat the Romans Road after me: Say “Jesus, I repent of my sins, I am so sorry Lord. I believe that you died on the cross and rose 3 days later from the dead, just for me and I accept what you have done, I accept you as my Savior. Thank you Jesus, amen.” Now go find a bible believing, Holy Ghost filled church and learn of Him, it’s never too late. Your new life starts now. All old things are gone away. God throws them as far as the East is from the West. Now….go live, laugh and love!
Thank you for coming on today and I pray that your week goes by Victoriously!
