Now that I’m in my 60s I think about things that I did and places that I went when I was in my 20s and 30s. Experience in your life makes you think about the mistakes that you made and how you could’ve done them all better if only you knew then what you know now. Our choices in mates, friends, churches, jobs, even the cars that we drove can turn out to be questionable. The thing that I think is so funny is the fact that there are people who walk around acting like they never did anything wrong and that is a blatant lie. No disrespect towards anyone of course, but if you sit down and contemplate on things that you did years ago I guarantee you, something will come up and you would be embarrassed and you would not want it blasted online. Aren’t you glad that we were raised before the days of the Internet?

I was an orphan at the age of three months when my father shot my mother and then shot himself. I’ve then was taken to a beautiful lady who raised me very well but she died of leukemia when I was eight years old. We used to sit around with a little white radio on the kitchen table listening to KDKA Pittsburgh as she would bake cookies and pies. Hazel Marie Carroll was her name and she taught me everything she could about Jesus. We used to hold hands, sit down on the floor around a candle and sing “This little light of mine I’m gonna let it shine.”
I lived in different homes where I didn’t have much favor with any of them but then, I grew up. I left when I was 17 and moved to Pittsburgh in some very questionable towns but it didn’t bother me. Here, I was a nice looking young lady 34/24/36 walking around these towns and cities all by myself. I know God had to be with me keeping me safe. Young ladies like that are the kind that you find floating in rivers. As I sit back and think about it today I see everywhere that God had his hand on me and I am very thankful today. That is why I gave him my entire life and I owe him.
The last time I had a relationship with a man was 1997. Sometimes I get lonely and I wish I had someone to talk to but those kind of people are hard to find. I think I’ll wait on God to send me someone nice. I don’t want a relationship, I don’t want to get married, I just want a really good friend, a male friend who won’t repeat my business. Throughout the years I found that every time I try to friend a female they end up repeating everything that I ever told them to someone else. One thing I can tell you is that God is not going to repeat what you tell Him. Having God in your life is better than having a best friend. I stay to myself and I mind my business and I just do my ministry that God assigned me to do and for that, I am comfortable.
I pray in Jesus name that you are comfortable as well. Shalom
