Happy October 1st, 2021!

Welcome to October 1, 2021! Praise the Lord that we made it to this day. There’s always something to thank God for. This is the month where we get to see them magnificent changing of the colors of the trees and the hills before us. This is not a month for witchcraft and ghosts and ghouls, actually no month is a month for witchcraft and ghosts and ghouls. Every single day of the year is a day to give thanks to the Lord. God has done great things, He always did and always will.
➳ In you’re giving-of-thanks make sure that you don’t get confused with the worldly system. We don’t do things like the world. We’re in the world but not of it.
📖
Joh 14:17 Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.
1Co 2:12 Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God.
Eph 6:12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
1Jn 2:2 And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world.
Joh 8:23 And he said unto them, Ye are from beneath; I am from above: ye are of this world; I am not of this world.
Joh 18:36 Jesus answered, My kingdom is not of this world: if my kingdom were of this world, then would my servants fight, that I should not be delivered to the Jews: but now is my kingdom not from hence.
Rom 12:2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God. (This simply means that you are not recycled but renewed. Don’t live like you are a recycled person but a renewed person. Jesus makes you brand new.)
1Co 1:20 Where is the wise? where is the scribe? where is the disputer of this world? hath not God made foolish the wisdom of this world?
1Co 5:10 Yet not altogether with the fornicators of this world, or with the covetous, or extortioners, or with idolaters; for then must ye needs go out of the world.
2Co 4:4 In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.

GOD’S GLORY REFLECTED IN CHRIST
The servant of Christ must never forget that he once needed and obtained mercy. This will sustain him in many an hour when heart and flesh fail. His weapon is the truth, his appeal to conscience. Others may vie with him in brilliant imagination, fervid enthusiasm, and intellectual force, but he has unrivaled supremacy in the realm of conscience. As Richard I of England, immured in a castle-dungeon, recognized the voice and song of his troubadour, singing outside the castle gate a strain familiar to them both, and responded note for note, so does conscience awaken and respond to the truth, which it recognizes as the voice of God.
Why, then, does the gospel fail? Not through any defect in itself, nor because of some arbitrary decree on the part of God, but because the god of this world has blinded the eyes of the heart by the glamour of worldly prosperity and success, or perhaps by the covering film or scale of evil habit, so that the light of the dawn, stealing over the world, is unable to penetrate the darkened life.
1Jn 4:3 And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world.
➢To folks who do not tithe to the church as God’s commands us to do, make sure that you don’t use Gods money to dress your children or houses up for the devil. Imagine how God feels about that? God only asks for 1/10 of our first fruits. Imagine how many tenths people have spent on celebrating the devil? And don’t dress your decks and patios up that way either. It’s okay to have pumpkins and apples and things like that because it shows that you’re thankful for the harvest time of year but no jack-o’-lanterns. I’m including a version of the story for you but you can also Google up the story of Halloween and what you find just may surprise you.
🔑 Let’s keep our minds stayed on Jesus and live in His light always. At every chance we get let’s thank Jesus for the work on the cross that he did just for us. Some people may poke fun at Christians saying that the cross ✞ is superstition, but the cross is not superstition, Hollywood told that lie and we are getting condemned for it. The cross is, much like communion, a reminder of what Jesus did for us. He told us to always remember him. Every time I look at my cross I think of my Jesus. The spirit of the antichrist is attacking the cross more than any other symbol or trinket in the world. What does that tell you?
God bless you and enjoy this day the way that the Lord intended that you do.
