“The lying spirit” pt 2 with a little devil-growling included.

The Lying spirit – #2

Before we get started I would like to show you what happened while I was recording this. Not only did my camera not work properly again on my computer, the devil got mad and actually growled at me. Here is my description and the link so that you can listen:

Do you want to hear something crazy? I think I made the devil mad and I am glad. While I was preaching something growled in the background. Let me tell you, this is not my stomach or any other bodily function. I promise. On You Tube, go to 6 minutes and 30 seconds and on Blog Talk Radio it’s 11:28-30 minutes, and listen to the demon/devil growl. http://www.blogtalkradio.com/revessie And no it’s not an equipment malfunction. satan was mad because I was alerting Christians about Discernment, something growled a bit loudly. And this is not the first time that this has happened to me while I was preaching. Check it out and tell me what you think. I don’t think he liked my message. he already lost anyway and is underneath our feet. How can you be afraid of a dog or a lion with no teeth? Jesus made us all winners over 2000+ years ago.

Have you ever experienced anyone with the lying spirit? One who lies unusually, at odd times, or for no reason? Actually, no time is a good time to lie.
There are different types of lies, I will use 2 main ones today and that is Enticement and Seduce/Seduction.
I believe that a lot of us have experienced the art of seduction at some point in our lives. Either someone acts as though they are interested in you but you find out that it is for a specific purpose and not for romantic or life-long reasons such as the proverbial person who woos someone because they need a place to stay or food to eat. Here you are thinking that they really care or love you and all they wanted was stability without accountability. Been there, done that. Lying has become a major part of the human character lately for those who do not fear the judgement of the Lord. They see that He hasn’t returned yet therefore they think that they have all of the time in the world to sin and act radical. It breaks down to the fact that we need to start working on our discernment as you have heard me say so many times lately. People, especially God’s people don’t seem to practice the gift of discernment and the devil knows it. Some Christians don’t even go to church long enough to learn what it means. Discernment: 1. the ability to judge well: 2. (in Christian contexts) perception in the absence of judgment with a view to obtaining spiritual direction and understanding: (Jesus perceived)
My Example: Years ago, in my young and dumb days, I wasn’t obtaining spiritual direction but carnal direction instead. In fact, I am blessed to be alive today. It was only by the Grace of God that I made it through. Remember that partial obedience is disobedience. How many live like that today and think they are ok, amen? I took someone in thinking that they loved me and it turns out that all they wanted was a place to stay and food to eat. And get this…they told everyone that my house was theirs! That’s how bad liars can be, especially if you give them more open doors to lie. What hurt me most was the fact that people believe him! Enemy’s can’t wait to hear something bad about you. If someone isn’t crazy about you in the first place, they’ll believe anything that comes down the pike about you. Jealousy is a trip. A person who is jealous of you will not tell the truth about you. You may get all of the attention. I think a lot of you listening right now have to be careful of that very demon, jealousy. Jealousy is NOT just an emotion. Don’t feel so bad when people talk about you or don’t include you in on anything and that means you ministers as well! Jealousy has a way of working itself through the body of Christ also. Especially now that COVID19 is around, closing churches and putting preachers on hold which really shouldn’t be with the church. And, I hate to say, preachers are allowing it. It’s sad to say this but I believe from what I’ve seen is that, some are vying for the money. Ministries are closing down, bills aren’t getting paid and they just aren’t getting the support that they once thought that they had and they are dwindling down off of their, forgive me for saying it like this but, they’re high horses. I always say “Humble yourself because you don’t want God to humble you, amen?” Their $180 packages are now selling for nearly pennies with sales bundles. Now, you can get 2 for $90! And we won’t get on the subject of preachers who dog other preachers for your tithes and offerings. I can’t beg, I love when people give from their hearts. It just feels better. I’ll put the calling out there once in a while but I refuse to beg. Jehovah Jireh is my provider and He sends who he wants to help this ministry and I like it like that.
I just saw one well-known prophet downgrade another well-known prophet online by using defining characters so others will know who the other prophet is. We’ll call him Prophet #1. And the one he talked about, “Prophet #2”, did a similar thing but repented of it and kept on steppin’ and to this day, he is forgiven and doing well. Now, if God really DID tell Prophet #2 what he said that He did, what does that make Prophet #1? Maybe not necessarily a liar but surely an accuser of the brethren right? Now, Prophet #1 needs to repent. Hey! I’m just sayin’! As I once said, we have to be careful of how we speak about one another. Church, if we are flying off of the handle with one another what good are we to the world? Did we lose our savor? As my daughter said the other day when we were talking about that certain situation, “they need to get the plank out of their own eye.” Have we forgotten that example? A house divided will not stand. Judgement comes to the house of God first! I love both of these prophets and I will continue to pray for them but I do have to say that #1 one should have not taken offense and he wouldn’t have turned around and done the same thing that he was correcting #2 of doing. Tit for tat right? Sometimes when you hear something, it is not ALWAYS about you amen? The offence came in and Prophet #2 may not have even been talking about #1. In the end times, offense will run rampant.
What is stopping the lying spirit from not only putting lies into the mouths of the prophets but into the minds (hearts) as well? Mouth, mind and heart are one!
Anywhoo, about this house. I went through a myriad of blessings to get that house. I saw God move line upon line and precept upon precept, here a little and there a little to give me that house. Blessed and unusual circumstances got me that 5 story old-Italian built home. (Attic and wine cellar included.) See, we have to carefully guard what God has given us. I hate to say that I…did….not…do…that. They literally had people thinking that their name was on the title deed. It wasn’t! It sure wasn’t on the taxes when tax time came. Come to find out, I learned that this person was one of the main two well-known liars in our whole county. They lied when they said “Good Morning” to you. When they finally got a job, they didn’t go to work. I was believing that they were safe at work. I had a man tell me one day, “You sure do cook good Essie!” I thought and said, “Wait a minute, how do you know that I cook good, you’ve never been to my house?” They mentioned this guys name and said, “He’s not going to work, he’s going to the bar every morning and giving everyone your lunches.” I was done. So THAT explained the lies he told about not getting paid on time. (Duh) My heart was broken. Lies break hearts. That’s what can happen when you do your own thing and call yourself making your own decisions and not leaving it up to God. You catch that lonely fever and can’t wait to have someone in your life so you take whatever the devil sends you, and it starts out pretty good. When our relationship was on it’s last legs I asked why he treated me so badly and he said, “You knew what I was when you picked me up.” (Boom!) For the first time, he told the truth. I had heard things about him during the courtship process but being me, I had to find out for myself. That’s not really a good thing to do, ignore counsel. Never ignore counsel, at least take your time and allow God to show you the situation before jumping head first into it.
Back to entice:
To entice someone is to attract or tempt by offering pleasure or advantage: the whole purpose of bribes is to entice governments to act against the public interest. That’s the problem now, are we living under a true government or a bribed one? New World Order perhaps? All we can do it pray.
This is why we have to be careful of who we listen to when it comes to the Word of God. If your spirit does not connect with the spirit that is using the one who is giving the Word, then there is something there that is not kosher or acceptable and/or of the Kingdom. You’ve heard me say before that our spirits do what faxes do, they get that ‘handshake’ signal and then it’s on from there. But first they have to connect. Everything that glitters is not gold. If they are offering you carnal pleasure or advantage, it most likely isn’t from the Lord. Everything should relate to or bring you back to Jesus and not to goods, services, clubs or cliques. Jesus uses prophesy to warn His people of impending danger, blessings that He is bestowing upon you and your contacts, correction or instruction. Prophecies can also attract people to you, due to their imperative content, for the purposes of letting others know that God can talk to them as well through a Prophet. It should attract them into having a greater relationship with God. Whether it is money, houses, cars, health or land, which sometimes it is, prophesy should give you Hope in Jesus. He is Jehovah Jireh, our Provider. Ask Him first for what you need and all else will follow. Real prophecy is known to ‘set on fire’ those who hear it whether it is a blessing or correction. Real prophecy causes us to repent of our wicked ways, not lust for more openings to continue to be carnal and lustful. I recently had an awesome and God-fearing Prophet call my name 3 times in a period of 2 weeks and it caused me to be alert to receiving more of God. It didn’t necessarily attract me to him personally, although he is da bomb as the kids say, but, I changed my ways of thinking and learned to perk up my listening for God’s voice more. I didn’t get high-minded and act greater-than-thou. I took that extremely serious, giving God all of the glory, all the while thanking God and keeping my receptors open for more of His direction. I’ve been hearing God more since then as well and I love it. God is doing new things.
Now about seduction. To seduce someone is to • attract (someone) to a belief or into a course of action that is inadvisable or foolhardy: • attract powerfully: the melody seduces the ear with warm string tones. I think of the mythological creature Siren.
Notice that seduce is to attract someone to be foolish. True Prophecy is not going to make you look, talk or act foolish. When God sent me 3 prophecies within 2 weeks, I didn’t automatically go out saying that I was the new prophet in town in fact, I really don’t like using that term. Sometimes God can make you a prophet and other times, you can prophesy short-term and not be actually considered as being in the Office of a Prophet. Real prophets have been tested and found tried and true. Pardon my expression but real prophets literally go through hell, or as they say, when they come around you, all hell breaks loose. Be careful when you call someone “Bad luck.” They just may be your blessing. The devil hates them because they daily tear his kingdom down with the “Words” of God. he sees to it that nothing comes to them easily. They live in what we’d call today “shacks” (caves,) they have raggedy cars and maybe even their clothes, but not always. God causes Ravens to feed them which means that they don’t always get the Golden Corral treatment.Test the Spirits1Jn 4:1  Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world.1Jn 4:2  Hereby know ye the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God:1Jn 4:3  And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world.1Jn 4:4  Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.1Jn 4:5  They are of the world: therefore speak they of the world, and the world heareth them.1Jn 4:6  We are of God: he that knoweth God heareth us; he that is not of God heareth not us. Hereby know we the spirit of truth, and the spirit of error.
Ahab was an evil man. What possessed him (should I even use that term) to think that he was going to get a sweet, softly-spoken prophecy? Why do evil people think that they are going to get rewarded from God Himself for being evil? That’s a thought. You do things God’s way or hit the highway. We cannot continue to do things our way, out of what we know good and well, is NOT the Will of God, and think that we are going to be blessed. God is not a jukebox or a genie. You don’t stick a quarter in and get a song! People keep insisting that they are going to do wrong and God is going to bless them. They believe the devil’s lies. “Oh foolish Galatians, who hath bewitched you?” It’s like the warlock in the bible who thought that he was going to “buy” the Holy Spirit off of the Apostles and he was ignorantly wrong. They told him that he was in bitterness and iniquity. Power-hungry people who are interested in witchcraft are always looking for a greater power because they know that the god (Baal) that they trusted in is letting them down or not strong enough for them. Instead of getting on their knees and fully and whole-heartedly repenting to Jesus, they think that their money is going to save the day. This man really thought that he was going to “purchase” the Power of God. You cannot have the power of God without having a close, personal relationship with Him first. If you can’t give Him time of your day because everything else is so important, what makes you think that He is going to give you His power? For what? He can’t trust you. You want the power of God so that you can lolligag around all day, fooling people and getting absolutely nothing done, only drawing attention to yourself? If you can’t keep up with the footmen, how will you keep up with the horses? You can read about Simon the Sorcerer in Acts 8:9-25
Simon the Magician BelievesAct 8:9  But there was a certain man, called Simon, which beforetime in the same city used sorcery, and bewitched the people of Samaria, giving out that himself was some great one:Act 8:10  To whom they all gave heed, from the least to the greatest, saying, This man is the great power of God.Act 8:11  And to him they had regard, because that of long time he had bewitched them with sorceries.Act 8:12  But when they believed Philip preaching the things concerning the kingdom of God, and the name of Jesus Christ, they were baptized, both men and women.Act 8:13  Then Simon himself believed also: and when he was baptized, he continued with Philip, and wondered, beholding the miracles and signs which were done.Act 8:14  Now when the apostles which were at Jerusalem heard that Samaria had received the word of God, they sent unto them Peter and John:Act 8:15  Who, when they were come down, prayed for them, that they might receive the Holy Ghost:Act 8:16  (For as yet he was fallen upon none of them: only they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.)Act 8:17  Then laid they their hands on them, and they received the Holy Ghost.Act 8:18  And when Simon saw that through laying on of the apostles’ hands the Holy Ghost was given, he offered them money,Act 8:19  Saying, Give me also this power, that on whomsoever I lay hands, he may receive the Holy Ghost.Act 8:20  But Peter said unto him, Thy money perish with thee, because thou hast thought that the gift of God may be purchased with money.Act 8:21  Thou hast neither part nor lot in this matter: for thy heart is not right in the sight of God.Act 8:22  Repent therefore of this thy wickedness, and pray God, if perhaps the thought of thine heart may be forgiven thee.Act 8:23  For I perceive that thou art in the gall of bitterness, and in the bond of iniquity.Act 8:24  Then answered Simon, and said, Pray ye to the Lord for me, that none of these things which ye have spoken come upon me.Act 8:25  And they, when they had testified and preached the word of the Lord, returned to Jerusalem, and preached the gospel in many villages of the Samaritans.
Vanity, lies and self-indulgence causes one to think that they can buy their way out of misery. Those who don’t believe in Jesus do the exact same thing. He said that He is the way, the truth and the life and no man can get to God except through Him, not money, not good deeds, nothing.
Let me show you a message with Ahab again, and I am almost done.
1 Kgs 22:20 YHWH asked, ‘Who will entice Ahab so that he will march and fall at Ramoth-gilead?’ Then one said thus and another said thus, 22:21 until a certain spirit came forward and stood before YHWH and said, ‘I will entice him.’ ‘How?’ YHWH asked him. 22:22 And he replied, ‘I will go out and be a lying spirit in the mouth of all his prophets.’ Then He said, ‘You will entice and you will prevail. Go out and do it.’God knew that the spirit would prevail because Ahab was an evil, stupid person!!! Don’t get it twisted, God did not send the spirit, God allowed him and he went. (Some were sent and some just went right?) See? We don’t know or understand how things go on in the courts of Heaven. We can only ask and what He wants to reveal to us, He will reveal. I hate to say this but sometimes we get mad at God because it seems that He isn’t answering our prayers but is He really not answering them or do we still have a lot to learn? Are we still not living Christ-like?Are we still trying to live worldly and spiritually at the same time? That’s lukewarm folks. That makes one a 50/50 Christian. Half Christian, half devil. (What did I say about a house divided?) Are there any “little g’s” in our lives that we refuse to let go? Don’t be like Ahab and Jezebel. Hard-headed. God sent them a true Prophet and they rejected him! Elijah could have saved their entire Kingdom and turned their hearts towards God but they didn’t respect him enough to catch on. Could that be why so many of us suffer and are miserable today? Are we lacking in respect towards God’s Prophets and Oracles? I believe that to be true. Like Elijah, when you have the “real” power of God in you, haters are going to hate. You may end up in a cavern all by yourself. Just never get depressed over it. Someone listening right now feels that way. You are asking “Why?” And God is saying to you, “I am making you walk on water because your enemies can’t swim.”
Notice the difference between Ahab and Job. God KNEW that Job would reject the evil spirit. He also knew that Ahab would accept the evil spirit because Ahab was a straight up sinner and trusted numbers more than God. Because of his marriage to a pagan woman, Ahab devoted himself to the worship of the false gods Baal and Asherah in Israel (1 Kings 16:31–33). He knew right but didn’t do right. King Ahab was justly judged by God because he disobeyed the Lord’s direct commands, he abused his responsibility as Israel’s king, and he led God’s people right into idolatry. Where are you leading God’s people?
////////// In the end, “there was never anyone like Ahab, who sold himself to do evil in the eyes of the Lord, urged on by Jezebel his wife. He behaved in the vilest manner by going after idols” (1 Kings 21:25–26). “It was common practice that a foreign princess who married a ruler of a neighbouring state should have facilities for practising her native religion in her new home” (Bruce, 1983: 43-44) – The account demonstrates him to have been careless of the covenant, to have treated human life lightly, to have openly opposed and despised the Lord’s prophets and to have allowed his wife to usurp his authority and lead further into sin (18:4; 21:8-10; 22:25). /////////
Saturday Morning as I arose I heard God’s voice say, “They have no day covenant.” Mankind was operating on the Law of Moses in the Old Testament (Covenant). Since then, the New Covenant, Jesus Christ has been introduced, we, today have no excuse. He is the Day Star, the New Covenant. There is no excuse to do so much lying and evil as we are doing today.
2Pe 1:19  We have also a more sure word of prophecy; whereunto ye do well that ye take heed, as unto a light that shineth in a dark place, until the day dawn, and the day star arise in your hearts:
Ahabs prophets were his greatest asset. (It surely wasn’t wisdom.) The problem is that he didn’t want to hear truth, he invited lies. He only wanted to hear his way, not the true way. Do you know people like that who talk about everybody else but refuse to hear anything about themselves?
//////// Eze 14:6  Therefore say unto the house of Israel, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Repent, and turn yourselves from your idols; and turn away your faces from all your abominations.Eze 14:7  For every one of the house of Israel, or of the stranger that sojourneth in Israel, which separateth himself from me, and setteth up his idols in his heart, and putteth the stumblingblock of his iniquity before his face, and cometh to a prophet to enquire of him concerning me; I the LORD will answer him by myself:Eze 14:8  And I will set my face against that man, and will make him a sign and a proverb, and I will cut him off from the midst of my people; and ye shall know that I am the LORD.Eze 14:9  And if the prophet be deceived when he hath spoken a thing, I the LORD have deceived that prophet, and I will stretch out my hand upon him, and will destroy him from the midst of my people Israel.Eze 14:10  And they shall bear the punishment of their iniquity: the punishment of the prophet shall be even as the punishment of him that seeketh unto him;Eze 14:11  That the house of Israel may go no more astray from me, neither be polluted any more with all their transgressions; but that they may be my people, and I may be their God, saith the Lord GOD. //////The word enticement is usually used to describe one side taking advantage of the other’s weakness. (Exod 22:15) or Samson’s wife coaxing his secret out of him (Judg 14:15, 16:5), though it can also refer to robbers fooling gullible people (Prov 16:29) or spies flattering a king (2Sam 3:25).
To end, do not be gullible or weak. God says “be strong.” Before you do anything in this life, accept Jesus and learn to be strong first because the world is going to come against you full-force.
Are you saved? Now is the time to accept Jesus Christ as your Savior. With all that is going on around the world, you need a friend. Jesus can be that special friend if you allow Him into your life. He is your helper and His Holy Spirit is your Comforter. If you are not saved, just repeat the Romans Road after me: Say “Jesus, I repent of my sins, I am so sorry Lord. I believe that you died on the cross and rose 3 days later from the dead, just for me and I accept what you have done, I accept you as my Savior. Thank you Jesus, amen.” Now go find a bible believing, Holy Ghost filled church and learn of Him, it’s never too late. Your new life starts now. All old things are gone away. God throws them as far as the East if from the West. Now….go live, laugh and love!
Num 6:24  The LORD bless thee, and keep thee:Num 6:25  The LORD make his face shine upon thee, and be gracious unto thee:Num 6:26  The LORD lift up his countenance upon thee, and give thee peace.Thank you for coming on today and I pray that your week goes by Victoriously! Rev Essie signing off! God bless and have a great day!
