The timing of the Prophets.

God has been showing me the seriousness of the scripture, “To everything there is a season.”

Ecc 3:1  To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven:

Ecc 3:2  A time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted;

Ecc 3:3  A time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up;

Ecc 3:4  A time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance;

Ecc 3:5  A time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones together; a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing;

Ecc 3:6  A time to get, and a time to lose; a time to keep, and a time to cast away;

Ecc 3:7  A time to rend, and a time to sew; a time to keep silence, and a time to speak;

Ecc 3:8  A time to love, and a time to hate; a time of war, and a time of peace.

I’ve been watching Prophets online and reading a book by one that I had sent to me recently from Amazon and the same topic keeps coming up. “Seasons.” There are times that we are to laugh, cry, get serious, talk, remain silent, become boisterous, etc. We have to wait on the Lord and follow His leading. I’ve seen Major Prophets apologize online or television for speaking something at the wrong time without waiting on the Lord. I wouldn’t call a person who does that a false prophet, they had the conviction of the Holy Ghost to apologize. That is not a false prophet, they just spoke the right thing at the wrong time. A false prophet wears a disguise and pretends to be one and blabs out whatever they think would attract people to them or their bank accounts and not to Jesus.

The bible says that God will not do anything unless He first contacts (tells) His prophets first.

Amo 3:7  Surely the Lord GOD will do nothing, but he revealeth his secret unto his servants the prophets.

Eph 3:5  Which in other ages was not made known unto the sons of men, as it is now revealed unto his holy apostles and prophets by the Spirit;

Yes, Prophets can make a mistake. Only Jesus was all man and all God. As long as we have flesh we will make mistakes. Jesus was the only one who didn’t. Sometimes a Prophet can go ahead of a messages’ timing. But they don’t deserve to be criticized and cursed for it either. With all that has been going on around the world, we need to listen intently to the voice of God and know when something is to be released or not. David was a Prophet, a Shepherd and a King. The only one who filled all three offices. David killed a man for his wife after lusting for her while watching her bathe on the rooftop. He unjustly judged a “fake” character who was only being used by Nathan as an example of his (David’s) own fault. David had concubines, wives. But still God said that David was a man after His own heart. Act 13:22  And when he had removed him, he raised up unto them David to be their king; to whom also he gave testimony, and said, I have found David the son of Jesse, a man after mine own heart, which shall fulfil all my will.

We make mistakes but the blood of Jesus has us covered and will lead us to repentance, humbling and correction, and for that we are thankful. God says that He forgets our sins and remembers them no more. Psa 103:12  As far as the east is from the west, so far hath he removed our transgressions from us.

Jer 31:34  And they shall teach no more every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, Know the LORD: for they shall all know me, from the least of them unto the greatest of them, saith the LORD: for Iwill forgive their iniquity, and I will remember their sin no more.

So, let’s be still and wait upon the signs and whispers of the Lord. He WILL get His way. Amen.
