Lord give me wings

Psa 18:10 And he rode upon a cherub, and did fly: yea, he did fly upon the wings of the wind.
Psa 139:9 If I take the wings of the morning, and dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea;
Psa 139:10 Even there shall thy hand lead me, and thy right hand shall hold me.
Mal 4:2 But unto you that fear my name shall the Sun of righteousness arise with healing in his wings; and ye shall go forth, and grow up as calves of the stall.
There have been so many times that I wanted to grow wings and fly. I’m sure that there are a lot of people who can relate to the scene in Forrest Gump where the little girl asks God to give her wings to fly faraway. How many times have you been teased or abused in your lifetime and you wished that you could fly far from where you are? How many times have relationships let you down? Or friends? Or loved one’s, or family? Yes we are human but we have of God who can make us superhuman upon the asking. Even the bible speaks of superabundance. I say, “superabundance for superhumans.” Life in the Spirit is not like a cartoon or superman movie. All we need is to believe. God tells us to believe his word and do not doubt. When God says that we are healed by his Sons stripes he means it. When Jehovah Jireh tells us that he will provide for us, he will. When Jehovah Tsidkenu says that we are righteous through him, we’re righteous. When Jehovah Shalom says the we have peace through him, then we are peaceful.
How many times did you sit in a private place wishing that you had wings? I know that I have. There’s an old spiritual that says “Lord give me wings, give me wings, so I can fly away from here and be ye at rest, Lord be at rest.” Psa 55:6 And I said, Oh that I had wings like a dove! for then would I fly away, and be at rest. Upon reading Psalm 55:6 one can see that they had problems in past times as well. They too wanted to fly. One of the special things about an eagle is that an Eagle stays to him or herself, and has very strong wings that helps them to fly above trouble. When the wind starts
stirring and becomes too much for a normal being to experience, the eagle flies above the wind and uses it to his or her advantage. Do you use the strong winds of adversity to your advantage or do you moan and bewail.
Let’s take a look at that in the spirit realm. The times when you feel like your life is too much to handle that is when you need to soar higher. Go above that turmoil and confusion. Never go below. Never go through, not by yourself anyway especially when Jesus is sitting on His Throne waiting for an invitation to help you. In Jesus Christ you can go above. That should be the perfect time to sit back and meditate. The worst thing that you can do is speculate. Go into your prayer closet call on Jesus and let him take you higher. Trust that he will. Shut down your mind and let the spirit of the most high God take over. You can fly above.
Someone did an experience once. They did a brain study on three people. They hooked up electrodes to the minds of a rich man, and a very positive man and a Nun. When it was all over they found that the Nun had more positive results, even more than the positive man. Upon further study it was determined that it was because she prayed. Prayer takes you places. Jesus prayed. The bible says that Jesus went into gardens by himself to pray. We too must do the same. Find some time to be by yourself and focus as much as you can on Jesus. If we can spend so much time focusing on someone who hurt us, or if we can listen to a good worldly CD, we can surely focus on the kingdom realm. With your eyes closed and the meditation of God’s word in your heart you can go to the place of peace. Block out anything that would hinder this from happening. Just for few minutes put everything in your life on hold. Don’t think about responsibility at all. Don’t worry about your bills. When you’re dead and gone they’ll still be here. In your mind’s eye see God’s throne. While sitting in a comfortable position allow your spirit to be free in Jesus, with Jesus, and only through Jesus. Enjoy where he takes you. Concentrate on His goodness.
There are so many people who would like for you to have a spirit guide when you meditate but in all actuality all you need is Jesus. If anyone guides you during this process it must and should be God’s Holy Spirit. Fall back into his arms and relax. The Kingdom of God is so vast. Keep a mental journal on the places or things that you saw. Even John did on the Isle of Patmos which gave us the Book of Revelation that contains an
almost cinematic profusion of colors, images, musical instruments and forms. It’s sheer magnificence of poetic power. In doing this the Lord God Almighty would introduce you to his kingdom through your trust in him alone. Too many people wait for a pastor or guru to tell them how to do this. This will also be a perfect time to ask any questions if you have any. God is in the healing and answering business.
I nicknamed my car “Wings” because it takes me everywhere. But it can not take me to a place of constant peace but only temporal peace instead. Only Jesus can give you permanent peace. The bible says the angels are faster than the speed of light. Scientists measured the speed of light and found out that by the time you say “Jesus,” angels had circled the earth 3 1/2 times. Imagine what your assigned angels will do if you meditate constantly on him and even call His name. Don’t make your guardian angels bored. Let them bind and loosen for you. That’s why the bible says what you bind on earth will be bound in Heaven, and what you loose on earth will be loosed in Heaven. Your thinking and your words mean a great deal. Relax in life and trust the Good Lord….Jesus.
Keep your wings clean and well anointed.
