Beautiful scenery but no spirit-filled churches.

Good Morning!!!!

BLESSING: This is Rev Esther R. Scott of New Birth Ministries Church online, wishing you (Victory, Yeshua, Love, joy, peace, wit, wealth, success, patience, virtue, good health, money, mercy, grace, support, Ruach, wisdom, positivity, abundance, prosperity, greatness and Yahweh!…).
Church online with me, Rev Essie, every Sunday at 10 a.m. Eastern Standard Time, is for those who cannot attend the usual “brick and mortar” service who don’t want to leave their church but need to hear the Word momentarily for various reasons: sick and shut in, transportation troubles, etc. Know that we are praying for you and for God to send you favor quickly. Also remember that “Troubles don’t last always!”You have the Victory.
“The subject of todays message is: Beautiful scenery but no spirit-filled churches.
Think of those who may live in beautiful places that looks like the hand of God is on it daily, but there are no spirit-filled churches there to attend or no one there to reach out and connect to. No praise, no worship, no testifying, no home visitations, no fellowship. Is it really that beautiful? Or is it just for show? And be aware of those who have a beautiful countenance but an unpure heart.
Beautiful scenery but no Spirit-filled churches. I just recently message with a lady, a beautiful lady who and her husband is having problems physically. Very serious problems. I asked her if she had a pastor or a church home of which she replied no. She said she ‘is the one’ that lives in a place with beautiful scenery but there are no Spirit-filled churches around. I thought to myself how many times I wanted to just be out in the country with no one else around. And then I wondered how many other people think like that, beautiful scenery but what if there are no spirit-filled churches? God is in them. Whether they have a church or not, around them, they still have church in them. Finding a good church today can be complicated. Either people are following false doctrines and are foaming at the mouth or they are too timid to say Amen.
Jesus knew these days were coming and that is why he warned us ahead of time that he was sending a comforter to live within us so that whenever we needed him all we had to do was ask and pray. The world is having birth pains. New ministries are paving the way for Jesus to return, young people are preaching the Word in season and out of season as the Bible says. Don’t depend on the news to tell you how well Christians are doing for the Kingdom. If anything they will tell you the opposite. And then, on the other side of the spectrum, countries are fighting one another and some Christians are doing the same, and although they say peace peace there is no true peace outside of Jesus Christ. You can’t get around that fact. Jesus is the way, the truth and the life. I am really hoping that people aren’t believing that they necessarily need brick-and-mortar to serve the Creator of this universe. Some have turned it into a spiritual prison. Jesus and the disciples taught and preached all over the countryside, not just in synagogues. As the Doobie Brothers used to say, they were “Takin’ it to the streets.” We’ve been taught that attendance and fellowship is the most important thing to do. Attendance is great but they got a little bit too serious on the fellowship part. Fellowshipping also means, not just to attend services, but to have a common bond of some sort with another and that would be believing in the Savior and going out into the World telling others about Him as He commanded us to in Matthew 28:18-20. People are quick to say “don’t neglect the fellowship” yet they lost focus once the so-called ‘fellowship’ is through! Many use it to hurt the feelings of those who have no church to attend. It’s become a measuring stick as to how religious one really is. If you don’t attend the building itself, your aren’t spiritual or saved. They go home and take off their “Monkey suit” as some call it, put on their comfortable house clothing and immediately eat a meal and watch Tv, football games, soaps, or some type of entertainment.
It’s something that we can have a McDonald’s and Rite Aid on every corner but there are still entire cities and towns missing churches. Wait a minute though! Then there are the towns that have more churches than bars and the people sin like Sodom and Gomorrah…like there is no tomorrow! See? It’s an unequal balance.
It’s good that missionaries go overseas, yes, but I do believe that Christians should also take care of their home first. The Holy Order in the Bible is God, Jesus, Man, then family.
1 Corinthians 11:3
3  But I would have you know, that the head of every man is Christ; and the head of the woman is the man; and the head of Christ is God.
It’s not God, Jesus, Man, other folks or countries…then family. How can your children and relatives be hungry and lacking spiritually and you’re in another country helping someone else? It just doesn’t make sense. I know a woman who traveled to other countries, put her pictures on Facebook feeding the hungry and singing spirituals and couldn’t stand her mother! Her mother used to come to our Church Services crying, asking me to contact her daughter and ask what is wrong! It broke her heart! See? That is out of order. Take care of home. Is Jesus supposed to let her into Heaven for her works and deep inside she hated her mother?
Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this, To visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep himself unspotted from the world. (James 1:27)
Oh Lord, let me get back on track here.
Why don’t more of us start our own businesses, our own transportation, our own gardening, our own Hospital, doctors, and nurses. Why is this wonderful lady that I began to talk about in my opening, sitting out in the boondocks with no one coming to visit her to make sure that her household is spiritually strong and that she has no needs?  She’s been following my Ministry online now for years but I live in another state and I do the best I can with my posts and my Bible studies, lessons, videos on YouTube, and my prayer group on Facebook. You can tell that she’s very hungry for the word and that she loves the Lord. How many others are out there looking for a sign from God? Did you ever see that post on Facebook that says, “If you’ve been looking for a sign from God, this is your sign?” Well let this short message today be your sign. Jesus said in Matthew 28 verses 19 and 20 to go into all the world preaching the gospel. There are different levels of faith.  We all have different assignments in the body of Christ. Some people can handle going overseas, yet some people are meant to stay closer to home. Those who are meant to stay closer to home should make sure that they cover as many people as they can with the gospel. I’ve experienced churches that keep books on how much money each person in the church gives every Sunday. And sometimes the preacher can actually figure out how much each of your checks are every week. Jesus doesn’t love you according to how much you make or give every week. That is an all out past Roman fallacy and a trick of the enemy. Why can’t preachers and deacons seem to keep books and track information on who is getting the gospel in which region and who isn’t.
I have a funny story to tell you:
Years ago I served in our local ministerium in the county that I lived in, and we came up with this idea that we would deliver video tapes to households and the video tape was simply called “Jesus.” The videotape was wonderful. It was short but it got to the point. All the Pastors in my area met in the cafeteria of a certain Church, and when our church showed up someone actually shouted “the black church is here!” That shocked me when I heard that because my church has always been mixed. That tells a lot about who we were working with, amen? Well, that poor person probably didn’t mean any harm but judging our arrival by race wasn’t a smart move. In fact our church was known for being mixed. But we went in with a smile anyway and we got our directions, and delivery packets, and we separated, jumped in our Cars and delivered these videos to all of the homes in our various areas. As we were delivering the videos we got chances to see who was covered spiritually and who wasn’t. It was an awesome evangelistic experience. And the funny thing about it is the fact that our little “black church” delivered more videos than the big churches. I will never forget that experience. I don’t think they will either. I still have the results on paper somewhere in my records. Oh we had fun that day. Our little teeny church delivered the most videos. I digress….
The Bible tells you not to be weary in small beginnings because God always has something  good for us that we don’t know about. This is one reason why I enjoy smaller ministries. And not only that ministers of small ministries know your name personally. I never want to go to a church that is so large that the minister doesn’t even know my name. It reminds me of when people walked up to Jesus in the Bible as an example, and Jesus looked at them and said I know you not. One thing I can tell you is that you NEVER want to hear Jesus tell you that He doesn’t know you. You have to have a close, personal relationship with Him. He wants to know your likes and dislikes, joys and sorrows. That’s why He sent us the Comforter, the Holy Spirit. The Lord said, “I will never leave you nor forsake you” and He meant it.
Do you tell him your troubles? Or do you get on the ‘horn’, as they used to call it, and blabber all of your business to a so-called ‘friend’. They are your friend until you tell them your weakness. Some are so happy to hear your weaknesses because it satisfies the jealousy in them that you never paid any attention to.
Let me give you a personal example of what happens when we don’t give it all to Jesus and we just crazily let loose when we are down or depressed. As Andre Crouch’s song says “Distraction, Don’t do it!”
I had a problem years ago. I was known to be very emotional. I cried and cried and cried for years. I hated it but I just wouldn’t stop. I used to joke about it calling myself Jeremiah, you know…the Weeping Prophet. But God! – I ran into what I call, “A test” that I had to pass and this was a hard test. There was someone who friended me and had the kindest, sweetest voice that you’d ever want to hear. They gilded me into a few private conversations. What happened was, I was lonely and needed a companion. I was at my weakest then. I know God is there listening but let’s be real, God DID make Adam and Woman. Not just Adam. Not just Woman. The devil messed that up at the gate and now many are lonely or alone without any human support. I know that I had been a Pastor for years but folks, Pastors need companionship too, albeit a mate or just a good friend.  I understand that everybody doesn’t get married but that’s another chapter. Anyway, this person had a little background in the Word and I fell for it hook, line and sinker. I began to cry the blues on the phone to them thinking that I had found someone to trust. I thought that I had found someone to share with who would encourage me and lift me up! Pastors get low too! I needed a listening ear. All that I had done was made myself look bad and should I say also, weak. I ran to the wrong one. I began to see where I was respecting them more than they were respecting me! Pastors beware who you talk to. Our head is Jesus. I should have left it between me and Jesus. The one that I had ran to was weaker than me and I thought because they were so well versed in the Word, they were cool to trust. While I was depending on them to be my listening ear, they were downing my ministry, my calling, and my name. I began to notice that everyone that talked to them, no matter how long they knew me, they soon stopped talking to me! There was a problem, and it ran awry quickly! That person had discredited my persona so horribly that people were backing off of me. After I took that fall, and took a while to build back up, I learned to only shed my tears with Jesus Christ, especially if you are single in ministry and if it is too serious to tell anybody else. He won’t share your information and He surely isn’t jealous. You know how they say, “Don’t knock a man while he is down?” This is what that person was doing to me. To this day, everyone who talks to them stops talking to me! I know it’s not funny but it is crazy how the devil works to tear down all that God has built you up with. As I learned in the Marine Corp … “Dismantle!” Instead of me tearing his playhouse down, he had set the perfect trap for me. I don’t play with God or my ministry. I learned a lesson, the more someone commends you for being “Transparent,” (as this person kept doing to me,) the more they are recording in the background of their minds, your information and then they turn around and share it with others to prove that what they were saying about you was true. “Oh! I love your transparency!”-they say as you continue to cry and poor your heart out. Especially if you are a female minister. The first thing that the devil wants to do is to PROVE YOU WRONG. They tell people, “I told you she wasn’t a REAL minister! See? All that crazy cryin’ and carryin’ on! She should be trusting God and not me. Wellll…..I could do better than that!” —— Oops! There it is!!!! Who else said that? Let’s read Isaiah 14 a minute:
Isaiah 14:12-17
12  How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations!
13  For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north:
14  I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High.
15  Yet thou shalt be brought down to hell, to the sides of the pit.
16  They that see thee shall narrowly look upon thee, and consider thee, saying, Is this the man that made the earth to tremble, that did shake kingdoms;
17  That made the world as a wilderness, and destroyed the cities thereof; that opened not the house of his prisoners?
Did you see that? satan wanted to be a part of the Godhead! Elohim is a three part God; Father, Son and Holy Ghost, there is no 4. When you get someone who suffers from the sin of Coveting, that is a serious matter. Here I was, crying my eyes out to someone who had already told me that they wanted to be what I was but never got a chance. No Leader would trust them to fill that Office. I ran into a few people in my life with that very same problem. The Office that they coveted – God wouldn’t give it to them. And now I see why! I didn’t CATCH THAT see? I should have seen that don’t you think? Don’t you guys out there EVER trust your position to one who wishes that they had it!!!! EVER!!!! EVER!!!!! EVER!!!!! Do we need to go back and watch a version of Cinderella again or what????? (Someone will get that a little later.)
Listen to the description in Ezekiel 28:12-15 says about satan and the same happens to those that he uses to multiply his evil attempts.
Ezekiel 28:12-15
12  Son of man, take up a lamentation upon the king of Tyrus, and say unto him, Thus saith the Lord God; Thou sealest up the sum, full of wisdom, and perfect in beauty.
13  Thou hast been in Eden the garden of God; every precious stone was thy covering, the sardius, topaz, and the diamond, the beryl, the onyx, and the jasper, the sapphire, the emerald, and the carbuncle, and gold: the workmanship of thy tabrets and of thy pipes was prepared in thee in the day that thou wast created.
14  Thou art the anointed cherub that covereth; and I have set thee so: thou wast upon the holy mountain of God; thou hast walked up and down in the midst of the stones of fire.
15  Thou wast perfect in thy ways from the day that thou wast created, till iniquity was found in thee.
Let me end this by saying to you, every beautiful scenery is not blessed by the Lord God. And every beautiful voice or person is not always of God either. Every person who ‘knows’ the Word of God doesn’t have a beautiful heart. Sometimes beauty can be a resting place for demons too. Remember, Jesus struggled of sorts in the beautiful Garden of Gethsemane. Jesus, we thank you for what you did just for us. There is none like you.
Let’s keep in prayer those who may not be getting their spirits filled with the fresh anointing of the Most High as they should be.
Are you saved?
