Pastors intimidating gay people?
I had a young person admit to me yesterday that they are going through a lot and haven’t been in church for a while because they are gay and was intimidated by their Pastor in church in front of the congregation. The Pastor told them in front of the church that they are “a mess”. That surely doesn’t sound like Matthew 18:15 to me.
Church hurt is horrible especially when it comes from an ‘alleged’ Pastor. The devil alienates humans but humans alienating another human is, well, inhuman. The only thing that would make a Pastor resist someone like that is if they themselves are wrong about something and refuse to repent (kicking against the pricks), or if they are jealous of the one that they are refusing and intimidating. Please pray for this person? Thank you, God knows their name. God bless and enjoy your day.
