Ephesians 5:25-26

Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it; That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word,

The Lord is saying, “Cover yourself with my blood and every evil thing that comes your way will pass over you just like death passed over my blood for Israel in Egypt hence the word “Passover.” They were also told not to open up their doors as death passed by, consuming their enemies, which allowed God’s will to be done. When evil comes your way do not open up the doors and allow it in but make it pass over and leave. I dwell in the praise of my people. Do not dwell in anything that is uncomely for a Christian. To everything there is a season and I have made you beautiful in your time. This is your time to shine and be a light for the world. Tell everyone about me. I have seen and heard people calling themselves preaching but they are not extending the call to me. Many are doing it. It is a common practice among some denominations or those who are trying to raise dry bones on their own power. This is a grave mistake for ministers and they have to stop this. I even heard one preacher say “bye bye” at the end of his sermon as though he was on a television show. I do not like that. Are you preaching to empty and dead pews to be seen of men in order to keep your position in the church or do you have people listen to you preach so that you can take that opportunity to present me to them? I’m bringing to your remembrance Deuteronomy 8:18. Never forget me because I am the one that gives all men the power if they ask. Do not be like the one servant who only had one talent so he buried it thinking he was doing the master a favor. You are the light do not hide it.”

Amen
