Blindfolds, the sermon by Rev. Esther R. Scott

Good Morning Saints and if you aren’t one, consider becoming one so that you can be liberated in Jesus, from this Worldly System, and covered by His Redemptive Blood. Amen.

I pray that your day is going well and blessed and if it doesn’t seem to be bless it yourself! You have the Most High God within you. He gave His Power to use so use it! Hallelujah!

Today I will be speaking on the topic “Remove the blindfold.” There are so many Christians walking around in this world with their eyes blindfolded to the wrong things and are not close enough to the Spirit of God inside of them to notice the difference. I will be expounding on that right after the invocation, the inviting of God’s Holy Spirit to use me to speak to people and awaken them spiritually to the Atoning Work of Jesus Christ.
So grab your pen and note-taking device of your choice, your drink and your snack and sit back and listen. May you be blessed by the Word of God today.

INVOCATION.

{SERMON}
In this year of 2020, I believe that God wants us to be selective and careful of what out eye gates see and focus upon. I am sure that there are thousands of preachers who took advantage of preaching on “Clearer Vision” or “2020 Vision” when the year first came in. Forgive me because I just did not want to jump on the bandwagon and take advantage of a quip when God didn’t tell me to. I refuse to keep up with the Joneses and add myself to a list of cliche’s and copycats, amen? However, it has come to the point where, today, February 2nd, 2020 (02/02/2020) God wants those who follow Micromanna and New Birth Ministries to know that He wants them to keep their eyes on the prize and not lose focus of what He is calling them to do. Add the date together and it ends up as an 8 which is the number of new beginnings therefore I pray that your new beginnings are highly blessed.
The World is so much of a bully anymore, pushing new ideas and concepts, which are mostly demonic, on human beings. And it is sad to say that humans are blindly following them. Remember the term, “what comes up comes out?” That is what is happening anymore. There are so many evil thoughts today. People are not guarding their minds and are allowing any ‘ol thought that comes along to bombard their thinking. They accept the first thought that comes through their minds and act out on them, ending up with outrageous results. This is why we must do what Paul tells us to in Philippians 4:

Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.

I have even heard people say that when you ask yourself a question, the very first thing that comes to your mind is usually the answer. I believe that I saw a psychologist say that once on Dr. Oz. We have to be careful of that because, one, it is not of the Word of God it is of the World, and two, the devil always wants to be first in your life so that he can fool you with what you think is a blessing of God but it is not. he knows that most of us don’t have the patience that we need to wait on God. There have been so many bad marriages and relationships because people accepted the first man or woman that came to them instead of waiting upon the Lord for a mate. And the children suffer.

Gal 5:16  This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh.

1Jn 2:16  For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.

Have you ever noticed that those who are quite successful in life will answer an important life-changing decision after they’ve had a chance to think about it? Ask them to sign a contract of some sort or to make an important decision and the first thing they say is, “Let me sleep on it.” There once was a huge business owner who was hiring with good pay. A man applied for the position so the owner took him out to eat. It was an unusual thing to do since we aren’t used to hearing of business owners doing that in the hiring process. Sad to say, the applicant did not get the job. Someone asked the owner why not and the owner simply said, “He didn’t even taste his soup first before putting salt on it which shows me that he makes bad decisions.” Wow! What a way to judge who you want, to work for your business but the man had a great point. What if the soup was already salty enough? Risky decisions can lead to high blood pressure, bad health and sorrows. It’s a good thing that the employer was not fleshly and ‘blind’ to the ‘proposed’ character of the applicant.

That is one main reason not to be a ‘yes’ man/woman. “Yes” men or woman only do what they think needs to be done instead of what the Holy Spirit tells them to do. They are only used as pawns in the business industry and sometimes in the church. I once ran 6 separate offices in a church and not only made myself sick but I almost ruined my children’s faith in God. We were tired! (A “yes” woman, see?) I Admin’ed the office, had a children’s ministry, picked people up for church, preached, ran the tapes off, sang, and closed up the church when we were through. We got home around 4-5 pm in the evening and all I ever heard about myself was, “Heck! You gotta almost beg her to sing!” Really? I was called the Bag Lady by the preacher in front of other ministers because I carried so many bags, etc with me to get the job(s) done! And the preacher cracked a joke one day about me being too old to run the children’s ministry AS I sat and listened!  Now look, listen, I’ve been to quite a few churches in my life so don’t try to guess which one. 🙂
You know there are those people who just sit back and wait for someone to talk about them. No offense but imagine being Joyce Meyer’s Father. She tells her story all the time about how he sexually abused her but, someone, somewhere needs to hear it.
Dan 2:47 says that God is a “revealer of secrets.” The king answered unto Daniel, and said, Of a truth it is, that your God is a God of gods, and a Lord of kings, and a revealer of secrets, seeing thou couldest reveal this secret.
And also, no offense to anyone who is guilty of ‘monitoring’ preachers but, if they didn’t do someone-so-wrong, they wouldn’t have to monitor everything that they say or do, so that they could ‘catch’ them using their abusive self as an example! Tough word but somebody has to say it. Amen? Have you ever had someone do you wrong and they are afraid that you are going to tell someone else about it? Ok, I digress.
Live holy to the best of your ability and if someone talks about you, it’s either a lie or you have to do some self-checking, repent and start fresh and anew. The Word tells us to change our wicked ways in:

Col 3:5  Mortify therefore your members which are upon the earth; fornication, uncleanness, inordinate affection, evil concupiscence, and covetousness, which is idolatry:

Col 3:6  For which things’ sake the wrath of God cometh on the children of disobedience:

2Pe 2:10  But chiefly them that walk after the flesh in the lust of uncleanness, and despise government. Presumptuous are they, selfwilled, they are not afraid to speak evil of dignities.
When I spoke of my one experience in one of the many churches that I attended years ago, that wasn’t speaking evil of dignities, that was helping someone else to not be used to the point of physical exhaustion, without naming names and being a stumbling block to that ministry. Well it doesn’t exist anymore anyway so no harm no foul. God raises up and sets down on His good timing. We need to learn to rest God has been speaking that to me and telling me to tell others. God says, “rest.” Even Jesus rested and angels ministered unto Him.  Mat 4:11    Mar 1:13  and, behold, angels came and ministered unto him.
Speaking of government earlier, I do believe that we are now living that scripture don’t you? I have not seen so much disrespect, ignorance and madness in my life as we are seeing it today. Some are either disrespectful of the law yet at the same time, being out or over-lawed. If the leaders of our nations are good, pray for them, if they are bad, pray for them. God will work it out. We need to just trust God.
Psa 75:6  For promotion cometh neither from the east, nor from the west, nor from the south.
Psa 75:7  But God is the judge: he putteth down one, and setteth up another.
Eze 17:24  And all the trees of the field shall know that I the LORD have brought down the high tree, have exalted the low tree, have dried up the green tree, and have made the dry tree to flourish: I the LORD have spoken and have done it.
God once used a donkey to get His Will done so who is to say that our leadership is horrible or I am too old to run a children’s ministry? Sarah was old and had a child for Abraham through God’s hand. satan wants our children that’s why he is taking away the elders over children and setting less experienced people or novices over our children. Look at the preachers who have left their ministries that they had over  God’s children because they stopped believing in Jesus WHILE running the church! A few have even confessed that they didn’t even believe in what they were preaching themselves. I’ve seen people who couldn’t conquer sexual sins or alcohol who are children’s ministers. Blind to their own sins. Non-repentant. One even continued to tell their children’s group how they danced on pool tables and loved clubs! It wasn’t a testimony! They were still going to clubs and putting the proof on Social Media! We need to take off the blindfold and see what God has in store for us via His Will and not our own.
Here’s part of the story of the donkey and Balaam. Turn to Numbers 22 or write it down for later.
Num 22:27  And when the ass saw the angel of the LORD, she fell down under Balaam: and Balaam’s anger was kindled, and he smote the ass with a staff.
Num 22:28  And the LORD opened the mouth of the ass, and she said unto Balaam, What have I done unto thee, that thou hast smitten me these three times?
Num 22:29  And Balaam said unto the ass, Because thou hast mocked me: I would there were a sword in mine hand, for now would I kill thee.
Num 22:30  And the ass said unto Balaam, Am not I thine ass, upon which thou hast ridden ever since I was thine unto this day? was I ever wont to do so unto thee? And he said, Nay.
Num 22:31  Then the LORD “opened the eyes” of Balaam, (removed a spiritual blindfold,) and he saw the angel of the LORD standing in the way, and his sword drawn in his hand: and he bowed down his head, and fell flat on his face.
Num 22:32  And the angel of the LORD said unto him, Wherefore hast thou smitten thine ass these three times? behold, I went out to withstand thee, because thy way is perverse before me:
Num 22:33  And the ass saw me, and turned from me these three times: unless she had turned from me, surely now also I had slain thee, and saved her alive.
Num 22:34  And Balaam said unto the angel of the LORD, I have sinned; for I knew not that thou stoodest in the way against me: now therefore, if it displease thee, I will get me back again.
Whether our leadership is black or white, young or old, male or female, pray for them.
There was once a man in the old testament named Barak (A General) who would not go out to battle unless a woman named Deborah (a Judge,) would go with him. She must have been a “bad mamma jamma!” Amen? He certainly did not wear the proverbial ‘blindfold’ that other men were wearing at that time when it came to male vs female in war. She was called “The Patriotic Woman.” And people don’t believe in female leadership?
Jdg 4:8  And Barak said unto her, If thou wilt go with me, then I will go: but if thou wilt not go with me, then I will not go.

Another Blindfold example: Jesus Words open our eyes.

On the Road to Emmaus
Luk 24:13  And, behold, two of them went that same day to a village called Emmaus, which was from Jerusalem about threescore furlongs.
Luk 24:14  And they talked together of all these things which had happened.
Luk 24:15  And it came to pass, that, while they communed together and reasoned, Jesus himself drew near, and went with them.
Luk 24:16  But their eyes were holden that they should not know him.
Luk 24:17  And he said unto them, What manner of communications are these that ye have one to another, as ye walk, and are sad?
Luk 24:18  And the one of them, whose name was Cleopas, answering said unto him, Art thou only a stranger in Jerusalem, and hast not known the things which are come to pass there in these days?
Luk 24:19  And he said unto them, What things? And they said unto him, Concerning Jesus of Nazareth, which was a prophet mighty in deed and word before God and all the people:
Luk 24:20  And how the chief priests and our rulers delivered him to be condemned to death, and have crucified him.
Luk 24:21  But we trusted that it had been he which should have redeemed Israel: and beside all this, to day is the third day since these things were done.
Luk 24:22  Yea, and certain women also of our company made us astonished, which were early at the sepulchre;
Luk 24:23  And when they found not his body, they came, saying, that they had also seen a vision of angels, which said that he was alive.
Luk 24:24  And certain of them which were with us went to the sepulchre, and found it even so as the women had said: but him they saw not.
Luk 24:25  Then he said unto them, O fools, and slow of heart to believe all that the prophets have spoken:
Luk 24:26  Ought not Christ to have suffered these things, and to enter into his glory?
Luk 24:27  And beginning at Moses and all the prophets, he expounded unto them in all the scriptures the things concerning himself.
Luk 24:28  And they drew nigh unto the village, whither they went: and he made as though he would have gone further.
Luk 24:29  But they constrained him, saying, Abide with us: for it is toward evening, and the day is far spent. And he went in to tarry with them.
Luk 24:30  And it came to pass, as he sat at meat with them, he took bread, and blessed it, and brake, and gave to them.
Luk 24:31  And their eyes were opened, and they knew him; and he vanished out of their sight.
Luk 24:32  And they said one to another, Did not our heart burn within us, while he talked with us by the way, and while he opened to us the scriptures?

Another blindfold to consider:

My daughter and I was watching a movie the other day, I won’t mention the name here, and it was about demonic spirits that began to take over anyone who stared at them. They called themselves “beautiful” and demanded that people stare at them. Once you stared at them, your eyes changed and you would either commit suicide by putting yourself in harms way or you’d pierce your flesh somehow or they would keep you and make you ‘seem’ like a regular human so that they could use you to lure others to themselves. Demons are no joke folks. If you have any open “portal” they WILL enter and take over. Stay prayed up and cover yourself with the Blood of Jesus. They will change your character, your heart, your mind and make you do things that you normally would not do. Guard your heart, your eyes, your mouth, your thoughts, your actions and words. There were even spirits in this movie that took over children. What is happening to us today? Demons are taking over our youth and using them right in front of our faces. And Christians are blindfolded spiritually and do nothing to stop the advances of the devil towards our children. satans hierarchy is causing leaders to do things that humans would not normally do. Some officials over us, “in High Places” have removed their blindfolds yes, but in a negative way, only to stare into the ugliness and destruction of the enemy, thinking that all is well and they begin to experience a spiritual and sometimes natural or chemical change for the worse. They think that they’ve found a new way, a neo, a new and beautiful experience. Just like those who think that there are many ways to Heaven. They are teaching our children the “how-to’s.” How to do all that God told us not to do. We have come full circle to where Eve stood in the garden and the devil said, “Did God REALLY say that?” As though he had a more ‘beautiful’ way. Either we guard our eyes to satan’s wiles or we stare into his mayhem and get lost due to our lust for more information.

As this movie goes on, the main actor has a baby and another lady that she ran into who hadn’t stared into evil yet, had a baby at the same time. The other lady was taunted to stare outside by a man who lied to get himself into their house. Of course, her eyes turn an odd color, usually green or gray and she gives the main character her baby and jumps out of the window and kills herself. The main character now has her own child, a son that she oddly named “Boy” and this lady’s child named, “Girl.” Up until they are about 6-8 years old, they have to wear these blindfolds. Hard to imagine but hey, it’s Hollywood right? Everyone else from the house that they were trying to stay in is now dead and the lady is, should I say, “wandering” around with the children with blindfolds on. She runs into odd adventures trying to find peace. She takes the children in a boat for days and even kills one of the human/creatures in the water who tried to make them take off their blindfolds. He kept telling her, “take off the blindfold, it’s so beautiful, you have to see it.” She somehow ‘correctly ‘ chops him and he falls away from the boat and drowns. While trusting this man’s voice over the radio she finally reaches a destination that she heard of over her short radio waves where people live who are not affected by the evil spirits . When she finally gets there, a soothing man’s voice tells her to remove her blindfold. She does and finds a beautiful place with lush, green grass and many happy people. The birds are singing and are peeping beautifully there. The man takes her to a huge yard filled with happy people only for her to find out that, they were all blind! The evil ones could not affect them because they were blind to their tricks! Speaks volumes does’t it?
That is like you and I, if we continue to “think on these things” as the bible says, and if we keep our minds clean with the Word of God, we will not focus on the evil around us but the good that comes with being free and covered by the Blood of Jesus and His healing Wings. Sometimes what we are running from is only because of how we ‘see’ it.  See the World through God’s eyes and experience His peace. We are in this world but not of it. Open your spiritual eyes and recognize that only God’s Word is true. Stop listening to the sugar-coated gospel, the feel good, everything everything gospel, and accept the reproof, correction of God along with His love, grace and mercy.
Are you saved?
If you are not just repeat the Romans Road after me: Say “Jesus, I repent of my sins, I am so sorry Lord. I believe that you died on the cross and rose 3 days later from the dead, just for me and I accept what you have done, I accept you as my Savior. Thank you Jesus, amen.” Now go find a bible believing, Holy Ghost filled church and learn of Him, it’s never too late. Your new life starts now. All old things are gone away. God throws them as far as the East if from the West. Now….go live, laugh and love!
Thank you for coming on today and I pray that your week goes by Victoriously!
