The Word is ‘healthier’ for you.

Obedience is greater than sacrifice yes, but God’s Grace and forgiveness helps us to do the task at hand. God gets the last Word in all cases as in the case of Abraham. In Genesis 1:21 God told Abraham, the Father of all Believers, to get away from all of his Father’s house and all relatives but Abraham took his father and his nephew Lot.

Genesis 12:0-5

Genesis 12

1 Now the Lord had said unto Abram, Get thee out of thy country, and from thy kindred, and from thy father’s house, unto a land that I will shew thee:

2 And I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and thou shalt be a blessing:

3 And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed.

4 So Abram departed, as the Lord had spoken unto him; and Lot went with him: and Abram was seventy and five years old when he departed out of Haran.

5 And Abram took Sarai his wife, and Lot his brother’s son, and all their substance that they had gathered, and the souls that they had gotten in Haran; and they went forth to go into the land of Canaan; and into the land of Canaan they came.

Sometimes you have to get away from your kindred to be able to minister and do better in life. Jesus could do not many miracles in His own hometown due to unbelief. Those who don’t believe in you or what you stand for can hold you back and retard or suspend the coming of your blessings.

Matthew 13:54-58

54 And when he was come into his own country, he taught them in their synagogue, insomuch that they were astonished, and said, Whence hath this man this wisdom, and these mighty works?

55 Is not this the carpenter’s son? is not his mother called Mary? and his brethren, James, and Joses, and Simon, and Judas?

56 And his sisters, are they not all with us? Whence then hath this man all these things?

57 And they were offended in him. But Jesus said unto them, A prophet is not without honour, save in his own country, and in his own house.

58 And he did not many mighty works there because of their unbelief.

Abraham wasn’t perfect yet, he is called by believers, “Father Abraham” and God blessed him mightily. How much more will God bless you through Jesus? He did not see the entire fulfillment of what was promised him.

Hebrews 11:11-13

11 Through faith also Sara herself received strength to conceive seed, and was delivered of a child when she was past age, because she judged him faithful who had promised.

12 Therefore sprang there even of one, and him as good as dead, so many as the stars of the sky in multitude, and as the sand which is by the sea shore innumerable.

13 These all died in faith, not having received the promises, but having seen them afar off, and were persuaded of them, and embraced them, and confessed that they were strangers and pilgrims on the earth.

They (Abraham and his nephew Lot) didn’t separate until Genesis Chapter 13. Yet God continued to bless Abraham.

Genesis 13:11

11 Then Lot chose him all the plain of Jordan; and Lot journeyed east: and they separated themselves the one from the other.

This reminds me of when Job got blessed for praying for his friends. They gave him bad information when he was going through hard times and his wife told him to turn his back on God but Job still prayed for them. We should do the same. God blesses those who look-out for others. satan wants you to hate others so that their souls can possibly belong to him. Don’t believe the hype.

You may be asking God to do something for you and it may feel as though that thing may never come to pass but hold on to God’s unchanging hand and trust and obey. You will see it eventually. Abraham was approximately 75 when he fathered a child to an old woman but he didn’t complain. He accepted the blessing and his off-spring became a blessing to us. Make sure that your wait-time does not cause you to despise God’s Word as many are doing today. People are giving up on hope.

Proverbs 13:12-13

12 Hope deferred maketh the heart sick: but when the desire cometh, it is a tree of life.

13 Whoso despiseth the word shall be destroyed: but he that feareth the commandment shall be rewarded.

Don’t listen to the World or the World will make you physically, emotionally, mentally and spiritually sick. Stick to God’s Word. It’s healthier for you.
