Praise the Lord Saints!
Grace, God unmerited favor is a free and willingness of God to bestow good upon the destitute. It is to favor. God shows us his lovingkindness. It is not merit or anything that you deserve. God’s grace is joy, liberality, and pleasure. It is the power to live what is required regardless of your circumstance. So many have missed the mark. They show no real power of God’s grace in their lives but they ask for so much in the body of Christ. If the apostle Paul worked through his “messenger of Satan” we should be able to serve in the church with a little sneeze.
The root word is “Chairo” which means to be cheerful, happy. Are you cheerful even when life presents itself otherwise? Philippians 4:4 says “rejoice in the Lord always again I say rejoice!” Can you rejoice even when things are going wrong? The root word contains the idea of someone getting kindness bestowed upon them which they do not deserve. Grace is kindness without the expectation of return.
“I didn’t pay your water bill this month for you to pay my gas bill next month” there is no underlying intention. God’s grace is God exerting his holy influence to touch souls to Christ. It strengthens your faith.
God’s grace is good will toward men. It is the friendly disposition of God. Charisma (Chairo) people are attracted to people with grace. We are to be becoming of a Christian. How is your temperament? How do you act in tight spots? Grace denotes extraordinary powers to distinguish you as being able to serve the church/body of Christ. Are you able or do you always have problems that you cannot kick? Don’t be a repeat offender. Can your pastor’s trust you to be able to carry out your duty flawlessly? Does your life and actions exhibit Gods grace or sin?
Second Peter 3:18 tells us to grow in grace. Hebrews 12:28 says let us have Grace to serve God. God told Paul “My grace is sufficient for thee.” Ephesians 2:7, 4:7, tells us about perseverance, riches in Grace. Are you falling from grace? Have you fallen back into the law? Have you forgotten that Jesus paid it all? Are you legalistic, ritualistic, and ceremonial? If so you have missed the mark my friend. Do you trust in your works instead of God? Backsliding, no faith, wishy-washy, sometimey and double minded. Galatians 5:13 tells us to serve one another. Are you serving others or is someone constantly serving you? Are you dodging your responsibilities? Your grace shows how much the Holy Spirit is in operation within you.
Grace is having Gods favor and being pleasing to God. There are three types of Grace: 1. Saving grace – receiving; Sanctifying–walking in the power of the Holy Spirit, and Serving–are you reaching out to others or are they always reaching out to you?
Walk in God’s grace my friend, for Grace is receiving something that you do not deserve. Isn’t God good?
