All throughout the bible there are stories and examples of how other nations tried to take over Israel and rob them of their peace. Most of the time, Israel had turned their backs on God and left the door wide open for a take-over. There are people today who think that bad things happen to them because God got mad at them and sent enemies to rob them of their peace as well. Not true. Jesus died on that old, rugged cross so that you can be set free from all that would condemn you. sPS delivers bad entrapments, not God. (satans Packaging Service.)
Hebrews 7:11 If therefore perfection were by the Levitical priesthood, (for under it the people received the law,) what further need was there that another priest should rise after the order of Melchisedec, and not be called after the order of Aaron? 12 For the priesthood being changed, there is made of necessity a change also of the law.
God wants you to now live in His sweet Grace, not the Old School Master of the Law. Stop beating yourself up. (Galatians 2:24 Wherefore the law was our schoolmaster to bring us unto Christ, that we might be justified by faith. 25 But after that faith is come, we are no longer under a schoolmaster.)
With God’s Grace there is no condemnation. Ephesians 4:7, 2 Peter 3:18, 1 Peter 1:2, Hebrews 12:28. The Holy Spirit convicts (gently), satan condemns. You will know when satan is on the prowl in your life because it seems that all of hell breaks loose. A female Pastor friend of mine once said, “You can tell when it’s satan because confusion comes all at one time.” Have you ever felt like the gates of Hell have been opened in your life? Nothing goes right and it even seems that the usual people in your life tend to have odd actions towards you? satan is trying to entrap you and make you think that what doesn’t exist, exists.
1st Peter 5:8 Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, AS a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour: 9 Whom resist stedfast in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in the world. 10 But the God of all grace, who hath called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a while, make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle you. 11 To him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.
It’s a trap, a gimmick. Don’t fall for it. The best that you can do at that point is to fast and pray that God opens your spiritual ears and eyes so that you can see exactly what is behind the curtain. Pardon my next example but remember the teeny man behind the curtain on the Wizard of Oz on television when you were a kid? Dorothy thought that there was some great, all-knowing, all-gifting wizard that would give them what they wanted and it ends up that there was a little man behind the curtain, the fire, and the booming voice that they saw and heard. Our God is huge. He speaks softly to our hearts purposely so that we won’t fall for the Big Booms during the course of our days.
Jeremiah 15:20 And I will make thee unto this people a fenced brasen wall: and they shall fight against thee, but they shall not prevail against thee: for I am with thee to save thee and to deliver thee, saith the Lord. 21 And I will deliver thee out of the hand of the wicked, and I will redeem thee out of the hand of the terrible.
Years ago, someone once asked another Pastor friend of mine, “How can I tell if I am in the right or wrong in a certain situation in my life?” He gently answered, “If your heart doesn’t condemn you, then you are okay. If something just doesn’t sit well with you, something needs to be checked or corrected.” Great point. It could be a satanic booby trap to work against you.
1st John 3:19 And hereby we know that we are of the truth, and shall assure our hearts before him. 20 For if our heart condemn us, God is greater than our heart, and knoweth all things. 21 Beloved, if our heart condemn us not, then have we confidence toward God. 22 And whatsoever we ask, we receive of him, because we keep his commandments, and do those things that are pleasing in his sight.
Matthew 16:18 And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. 19 And I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.
There can possibly be no argument against that scripture. The enemy comes into our lives to rob, steal and kill but the Name and the Blood of Jesus blows his entire plan. Learn to use the Name of Jesus and put the invisible but very powerful Blood of Jesus over your problems and watch them dissipate. God wants you to trust that He will do the complicated work that needs to be done in your life.
