A group of frogs were hopping down a country road, enjoying themselves on a sunny day when two of them fell into a hole in the road. The frogs surrounded the hole yelling for the two who had fell. After a while they began to yell for them to stop trying to get out because the hole was too high. “Stop, it’s no use!” one said to the two fallen frogs. The two continued to jump and jump trying to make it out of the hole.  ”It’s hopeless! Just stop!” another yelled down to them. The one frog got tired, stopped jumping and died right on the spot. The second frog continued to jump and the more that they yelled to him, the harder he jumped.  He finally made it out of the hole.  One frog told him, “Why did you continue to jump when we were telling you to stop?” After reading his lips up close, the ‘used-to-be-fallen’ frog said to him, “I am deaf and I thought that you all were yelling for me to continue trying.”

What have your lips said to someone lately? Are you speaking life and truth into someone’s existence? Or are you kicking a man while he is down?  Do you curse too much? Whom God has blessed you cannot curse.

What we say forms and shapes our future and the future of those around us. Can bitter and sweet water come out of the same fountain?  What’s on your mind?

Pro 18:21  Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof.

Jas 3:11  Doth a fountain send forth at the same place sweet water and bitter?

Jas 3:12 Can the fig tree, my brethren, bear olive berries? either a vine, figs? so can no fountain both yield salt water and fresh.
Jas 3:13 Who is a wise man and endued with knowledge among you? let him shew out of a good conversation his works with meekness of wisdom.
Jas 3:14 But if ye have bitter envying and strife in your hearts, glory not, and lie not against the truth.
Jas 3:15 This wisdom descendeth not from above, but is earthly, sensual, devilish.
Jas 3:16 For where envying and strife is, there is confusion and every evil work.

Slow your mind, allow the Spirit of God-in-you to speak at the proper times. Uplift and edify people. You’ll be glad that you did.
