Revelation 18 “We are not exempt.”

Revelation 18 We are not exempt.

Rev. Esther R. Scott

In John chapter 18 verse 11 it says then said Jesus unto Peter “Put up the sword into the sheath the cup which my father has given me shall I not drink it?”

JESUS tells peter to put away his sword and asks him a question as well. “The cup which my father has given me shall I not drink it?” This is proof that whatever God gives us to fulfill we should fulfill it. The scripture proves that Peter may have had a short temper or was the typical irrational thinker. After all that time of being with JESUS one would think that Peter would know better. It obviously takes some of us longer than others. It depends on your spiritual maturity. We are talking about a man who walked on water to get to Jesus. This scripture also proves that Peter loved Jesus so much and he was so thankful for what Jesus had done for him that he got selfish over him and wasn’t thinking about future generations at that moment. Keep your mind stayed on Jesus and consider how your actions will manifest in the lives of your future generations. Trust in the Lord and you cannot go wrong. Let him handle all of your emotions, burdens, worries, and cares of this life. God is good he doesn’t need our help to take care of himself but we need His help in all situations and matters.

We must remember that although Jesus was God in the flesh he did everything as a man. He wasn’t a show off and he didn’t “toot his own horn” like some mistakingly do today as though to say “look when I can do!” Jesus healed people and turned water into wine as a man whose faith was totally dependent on God. He was our example to show that we can do it as well.

The scripture proves also that although Peter may have thought he was doing a good thing as most of us do, JESUS still had to correct him. Is it possible that some of us think that we have arrived standing far above correction? Also in parental-child relationships these things happen also. Some parents give the children so much leniency that sooner or later the children feel like the grownups and feel that they shouldn’t be corrected. And some neither have that parental respect and/or reverence for their parents after so long. Hebrews 12 verses 6 to 15

Heb 12:6  For whom the Lord loveth he chasteneth, and scourgeth every son whom he receiveth.
Heb 12:7  If ye endure chastening, God dealeth with you as with sons; for what son is he whom the father chasteneth not?
Heb 12:8  But if ye be without chastisement, whereof all are partakers, then are ye bastards, and not sons.
Heb 12:9  Furthermore we have had fathers of our flesh which corrected us, and we gave them reverence: shall we not much rather be in subjection unto the Father of spirits, and live?
Heb 12:10  For they verily for a few days chastened us after their own pleasure; but he for our profit, that we might be partakers of his holiness.
Heb 12:11  Now no chastening for the present seemeth to be joyous, but grievous: nevertheless afterward it yieldeth the peaceable fruit of righteousness unto them which are exercised thereby.
Heb 12:12  Wherefore lift up the hands which hang down, and the feeble knees;
Heb 12:13  And make straight paths for your feet, lest that which is lame be turned out of the way; but let it rather be healed.
Heb 12:14  Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord:
Heb 12:15  Looking diligently lest any man fail of the grace of God; lest any root of bitterness springing up trouble you, and thereby many be defiled;

Notice in verse eight if you do not want to be chastened, you are considered biblically as bastards and not sons or daughters of God. I would rather take the chastening now and get my pride shut down and have God do it for me later at the judgment and suffer. We must allow God to be God in our lives on this side of the grave because the other side of the grave is too late.

Rev 3:19  As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore, and repent.

That is really saying something right there wouldn’t you say? God corrects strong actions through Jesus Christ and the Holy Ghost, simply because he loves you. No matter what you’ve done in your life if you except Jesus Christ you are covered by the redeeming blood. We say redeeming because when you redeem something that means that you have to buy back. Do you remember the green S&H stamps years ago that stores used to have? You shop, get some stamps, lick them and place them in a little booklet and when the booklet is full you redeem them. You give them to the store to buy an item like a can opener, a fishing rod or a toaster. This may sound silly to some but, Jesus’s blood is the S&H Green Stamps! You were on the shelf in the store and JESUS showed up with his stamp booklet, and bought you for a price…..the stamps! That is why you hear Christian singing “I owed a debt I could not pay he paid a price I did not know.” He didn’t have to give his life for you but he also didn’t make us just to sit on the devils shelf all throughout this existence either. God wants you to get off of that old shelf and live! Smell the roses, drink the coffee, travel, live, laugh, and love.

In Matthew chapter 16 verse 18 when Jesus said “Upon this rock I will build my church” he didn’t necessarily mean Peter himself. It was the concept that Peter was a prime example of how the Holy Spirit had revealed and still reveals to man, who Jesus really is. You cannot say that he is the son of God unless the Holy Spirit reveals it to you. The ones who do not think that he is the son of God are those who refuse to surrender to the Spirit of God. They are the know it all’s, who have the antichrist spirit about them and some of them don’t even know that their minds have been seared. Beware of those who say that he is ONLY a prophet. That is the spirit of the antichrist. That is what anti-Christ means, against Christ.

Mat 16:13  When Jesus came into the coasts of Caesarea Philippi, he asked his disciples, saying, Whom do men say that I the Son of man am?
Mat 16:14  And they said, Some say that thou art John the Baptist: some, Elias; and others, Jeremias, or one of the prophets.
Mat 16:15  He saith unto them, But whom say ye that I am?
Mat 16:16  And Simon Peter answered and said, Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God.
Mat 16:17  And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou, Simon Barjona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven.
Mat 16:18  And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.

Warning Against Idolatry
1Co 10:1  Moreover, brethren, I would not that ye should be ignorant, how that all our fathers were under the cloud, and all passed through the sea;
1Co 10:2  And were all baptized unto Moses in the cloud and in the sea;
1Co 10:3  And did all eat the same spiritual meat;
1Co 10:4  And did all drink the same spiritual drink: for they drank of that spiritual Rock that followed them: and that Rock was Christ.

Upon this rock I will build my church. God built Israel. As a Christian you are now grafted in. Welcome to the family of Israel. Even many of them today do not believe that Jesus is the Christ and he came out of them. Some are still looking for the return of the Christ. Jesus already returned, saved us, and went back to his throne. He is now on the right hand side of God praying for us making intercession forever. They are still looking to be saved. Not good. This is why we have to get the word out to people. Unsear their minds. Jesus meant that rock to be the foundational principles such as love, chastisement, spiritual discernment, invincibility, authority in Christ, divinity, revelations, and blessings of coming and going. We have so many churches that build themselves on Peter alone and they are cold, powerless and have missed the mark.

Instead of saying “holy Saint Peter we adoer you and we ask the following requests,” they need to be praying, “Holy Jesus my Savior and Lord deposit lovr to me and keep your hand upon me that I do not sin against you. Bless me as I bless you so I can continue to bless others.” JESUS had asked peter who Peter thought that he really was. Peter said, “The Christ, the son of the living God.” Here’s what happened, Peter revealed Jesus and Jesus revealed peter. The pronouncement was important of peters faith in Jesus being the son of God. It is very important that we get that fact. There are many religions out there such as Muslims who believe that Jesus is only a Prophet or a teacher. They adamantly say that he is not the son of God. Mothers and fathers tell your sons and daughters to be careful of joining up with that antichrist spirit. Many have even learned that Muslim faith while they were in prison and so forth, ignorantly not knowing what it entails. Mormons even say that Jesus and Satan their brothers. That’s about as bad as you can get.

JESUS was pleased of Peter’s spiritual maturity. Is he pleased with yours? What has God revealed to you lately? Jesus built his church on spiritual maturity. It is a definite mark of a mature Christian. In John chapter 18 verse 11 retaliation is forbidden as Christians. How many of us still retaliate when someone pushes our buttons? Have you ever said something to to someone and they go home and have time to think about what you said and the next time they see you they’ve cooked up a way to get you back for what you said in all honesty? Just let them talk. That’s in maturity. How many times have you drawn your sword when someone approaches the Jesus in you? Jesus is telling us to put up our swords. The battle is not ours, it’s the Lords. Jesus had to die on the cross because he is chock-full of submission to the Father. God sustained him while he was a man.

The Bible says angels ministered to him while he was here. Between God and the angels, they kept him going down here in this mess of a world. Who or what is keeping you? What fuels you? We are not exempt my friend. If the star of David is made of two triangles, one pointing heaven bound and one pointing earthbound, (some scholars have said that it simply means as above so below,) we are one with the 3rd Heaven, God the Father. If Jesus went through things when he was here we too experience them but this too shall pass. God lives in you. You are his vessel, let him fight all of the battles and fear not. After the last correction that the Lord made in John chapter 18 verse 11, the salvation of the human race began. The band and the captain and the officers of the Jews took JESUS and found him. Notice the order there in John 18 verse 11. First the band left, then the captain of the band, then the officers of the Jews, then Jesus.

The writer was careful to give the order as he wrote the scripture. The scripture tells us exactly how much Jesus and his father are one, just as we should be. Noticing John 18 verse 11b Jesus allows time to question Peter. He didn’t dictate a statement. Like father, like son. Please see Genesis chapter 3 verses nine, 11 and 13. It shows that God is not an accuser, pointing fingers. God asks questions and allows us to answer in and of our own will God doesn’t play the blame game like Adam and woman did in verses 12 and 13b. Satan is a mocker, a mimicker, he doesn’t fit in but he wants to. See verse one. He uses questions also. This could be why we have denominations that say Jesus and Satan are brothers. They see what they call “similarities.” I called them “deceptions.” Please let me leave you with this lasting thought, if Jesus went through it all we will also. Don’t be afraid. Fear not. We are not exempt but Jesus makes it all right. That is why he said, “Come to Me, and I Will Give You Rest

Mat 11:25  At that time Jesus answered and said, I thank thee, O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because thou hast hid these things from the wise and prudent, and hast revealed them unto babes.
Mat 11:26  Even so, Father: for so it seemed good in thy sight.
Mat 11:27  All things are delivered unto me of my Father: and no man knoweth the Son, but the Father; neither knoweth any man the Father, save the Son, and he to whomsoever the Son will reveal him.
Mat 11:28  Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
Mat 11:29  Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.
Mat 11:30  For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.”

God bless you!

Your mind can bleed you to death.

Your mind can bleed you to death.
Rev Essie ~ New Birth Ministries
12/26/20

Good Morning, Good Afternoon and/or Good Evening wherever you are. This is Rev Essie of New Birth Ministries and I am glad that you are listening today. I pray that your day is blessed and if it doesn’t seem to be going that way…..Bless it yourself! God lives in you. He gave you His Power so use it! I pray that you had a beautiful Christmas, I know that I did praise God.
Today the topic is “Your mind can bleed you to death.” Get your Swords, a drink and a snack, and maybe a tablet and pen and sit back and I’ll be back to delve into this subject right after we invoke the Holy Spirit.

PRAYER

The subject today will cover something that is harmful to mankind and that is…Carnality. Don’t be so carnal that we can’t give thanks to God in every occasion!

2Sa 22:50  Therefore I will give thanks unto thee, O LORD, among the heathen, and I will sing praises unto thy name.
1Ch 16:8  Give thanks unto the LORD, call upon his name, make known his deeds among the people.
1Ch 16:34  O give thanks unto the LORD; for he is
good; for his mercy endureth for ever.
1Ch 16:35  And say ye, Save us, O God of our salvation, and gather us together, and deliver us from the heathen, that we may give thanks to thy holy name, and glory in thy praise.

I want to start this episode out with the proper terminology of carnality. And next Sunday will be the beginning of a new set of episodes so let me start out by saying to you HAPPY NEW YEAR AND MANY MORE!
Because when we use our minds to do our daily chores and requirements of life, before we enquire of the Holy Spirit Who lives inside of us, we…. are living in carnality.
Carnality/Carnal: carnal | ˈkärnl |
adjective
relating to physical, especially sexual, needs and activities: carnal desire.

Instead of getting up in the morning, thanking God for another day and other things that He’s done for us, some of us cater to our fleshly needs first. When we hop out of bed, grab a cup of our favorite drink or a bowl or plate of our favorite food, without first giving honor to God and praying to Him, we are operating from our carnal-selves rather than our spiritual selves. Kevin Zadai who has been on Sid Roth’s show many times and has his own Ministry and Prophecy School, says, “Train your mind to side with your spirit.” Notice he didn’t say, “Train your spirit to side with your mind” which, in doing so, one can quickly become spiritually destitute, or literally “spiritually retarded” and lack in every area of our lives. Christians are supposed to have some kind of “morality clause.” People are watching. When they see us act just like them, they won’t believe that we are Christians. Live holy, if you don’t the world will claim you as being one of them. If you say that you are a Christian and you live with your boyfriend or girlfriend, cuss and cheat, the world will see ‘them’ in you and not ‘Jesus.’

When we look up the word ‘retarded’ we see that it means, less advanced in mental, physical, or social development than is usual for one’s age.
• The offensive version means to be very foolish or stupid: in retrospect, it was a totally retarded idea. But we don’t use that word too much anymore along with a few other terms that easily offends others.
I know this may sound a bit harsh but as Christians, we should, by now, at least have our morning routines down pat. At least give God thanks, read some Word or say a good prayer, wash yourself clean, brush the halitosis out of your mouth and then take care of the your carnal needs. And I am not talking about sexual or immoral desires. Some people are committing adultery, fornication and self-gratification before they even get their day started and some even spend a good portion of their day committing these acts. Folks may think that it is ok to be perverted but God sees it all and His Prophets see it too. You can’t hide from the Spirit of the Most High. That includes the Men and Women of the Cloth who think that their secret sins are hidden from God or His people. FYI: The devil will make sure to reveal to people, your inconsistencies in SOME way. We will see it in what you watch on tv, the internet or your conversation. There are women who hoard attention or men who pit women against one another or even those who try to strike up jealousy. Their minds/thoughts are bleeding them to a spiritual death.

Your life is in your blood. Your blood, your life depends on what you feed it. It’s just like those who have to take medicine to cut the fat out of their blood such as Fenofibrate which is used with a low-fat diet, exercise, and sometimes with other medications to reduce the amounts of fatty substances such as cholesterol and triglycerides in the blood and to increase the amount of HDL (high-density lipoprotein; a type of fatty substance that decreases the risk of heart disease. I pray that these types of things are not bleeding anyone that we know or love to death.

When God created man, man had everything he needed to be a human except the Breath of God. Let’s read Genesis chapter 2 verse 7: Gen 2:7  And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.
That means that man’s blood was ‘still’ and non functioning until it received the ‘oxygen’ so-to-speak, the life, (God’s breath) that it needed to get started. God even gave us vegetation to keep us in healthy oxygen. After that, the blood began to run through man’s veins to his heart and his brain, organs, arms and legs, hair and nails. We need the Breath of God FIRST to be alive. Have you ever seen someone who has the appearance of being drained and dark? That’s because they aren’t getting fresh supplies of the Breath of God or they are rejecting it. When you look at some people there is something that seems to be missing in them. The Holy Spirit within you will discern that something is missing or out of sorts. Their minds aren’t stayed on Jesus. (Wishy-washy) Their minds are free to be dominated by the gods of this World, ie, television, radio, news, internet, gossip rags, and neighborhood scuttlebutt. They will not rest in Christ Jesus but continue to do what their minds or the voices around them tell them to do. Their minds are bleeding them to death, bleeding all of their life forces out of them because they refuse to give in to a Man/God (Jesus) Who died that they may be free of bad decisions and self-induced suffering. In Genesis even God rested on the 7th day. If God rests, we should too. We should rest from hard decisions, loneliness, worry and guilt and give it all to Jesus. And sometimes we have to REST-FROM-OURSELVES. Amen? People are overworked in these days, over-worried with this Coronavirus closing everything down, and some have been recorded as stressed, depressed and oppressed. That’s because they refuse to give all of their concerns to the Lord. Too many choose pills over prayer, being under the influence of man instead of God.
Then you have those who just copped out of life. They got tired, miserable and weak and decided to just check out and leave the heavy things to someone else’s care and that person or those persons begin to tire out due to the much too heavy load. They find that they cannot pray like they used to or praise and worship God the way that they used to because their cup is filled to the brim with worries and responsibilities. It’s filled so full that if it were a cup of coffee they wouldn’t even be able to get it to their lips without dropping it.

I recently was watching one of the very few shows that I watch called “Burn Notice” where there is a team of ‘burned spies’ who work together to help people in need. One of the characters named Sam had gotten shot and was bleeding. The main characters, Michael and Fee had to tell him to stop trying so hard to continue to try to help them and finally rest so that he would not bleed to death. In this case, his mind was still working overtime trying to do that which his body could no longer properly do. His movements were causing blood to gush out of his body. What good would he be bloodless? How could he help the team being dead? And that’s what many people do today. They continue to try to do physical work without powering up their supernatural/spiritual abilities first. You cannot help anyone else if you are bleeding to death! Upon every attempted movement you will bleed out.

  1. We have friends and family who are operating on their last legs, thinking that they are powerful and mighty yet they are depleted and energy-less.
    a. They need more study of the Word.
  2. Churches are dead because their ministers are life-less and unknowedgeable of the salvation and healing power of the Most High God. Bruce Lee used to say, “Mind over matter” but I say, “Spirit over Mind.” Amen? Churches today are good in:
    a. Going through the motions without the power.
    1. Pro 18:21  Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof.
Ecc 5:19  Every man also to whom God hath given riches and wealth, and hath given him power to eat thereof, and to take his portion, and to rejoice in his labour; this is the gift of God.
Ecc 6:2  A man to whom God hath given riches, wealth, and honour, so that he wanteth nothing for his soul of all that he desireth, yet God giveth him not power to eat thereof, but a stranger eateth it: this is vanity, and it is an evil disease.
Eze 17:9  Say thou, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Shall it prosper? shall he not pull up the roots thereof, and cut off the fruit thereof, that it wither? it shall wither in all the leaves of her spring, even without great power or many people to pluck it up by the roots thereof.
2Ti 3:5  Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.

In Jesus there is regeneration, a newness, rest, solitude and righteousness. He tells us to come to Him. He makes living easier. Mat 11:28  Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
Mat 11:29  Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.
Mat 11:30  For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.

I took the liberty to research the word bleed | blēd | Bleed out:
verb (past and past participle bled | bled | )
1 [no object] lose blood from the body as a result of injury or illness:
Let’s talk about those church injuries, family injuries, relationship injuries that we experience every day, amen? Sometimes you feel like someone took a Ginsu knife and sliced right through your heart but you keep going through the motions, slowly bleeding on others while trying to maintain your dignity. There are so many hurting people in the world. That’s why we have to be careful of what ‘voices’ that we listen to. “Hurting people hurt people.”

2 [with object] draw blood from (someone), especially as a once-common method of treatment in medicine.
• remove blood from (an animal carcass): the first steer rolled out on the floor to be bled, skinned, and dressed.
Be on the alert for people with the Vampire Spirit. It will hound and harass you with everything that it can do weaken you so that you will not converse with the Lord and get powered-up as God intends for you to be. They suck and suck the life out of you until it is no longer you that is living but a weakened version of the you that God intended for you to be. You live in fear, doubt and guilt. Nothing that you ever do is right or deserving to these people. They ride off of your ticket. They ride off of your wings until you are no longer flying but dragging through the muck and the mire. They don’t care because they don’t care about themselves to care about you. They are so nonchalant that they don’t even realize that everyone else can see how they treat you. Someone who is a repeat offender, a repeat loser so-to-speak could care less what others are saying about them.
They drain your resources, your money, your time. As an example: his policy of attempting to bleed unions of funds. They bleed your funds. I know a nice man who has a son that NEVER stops needing him. The man is tired and cannot do it anymore. This young man is taking advantage of the man’s love and generosity. This young man is a blood-sucker, just like a mosquito. And he’s leaving an itchy, ugly mark all over the man’s name and life. But the son doesn’t care.

3 [with object] allow (fluid or gas) to escape from a closed system through a valve: open the valves and bleed air from the pump chamber.
Letting off ‘steam’ is alright as long as you do it carefully and only to God Who understands. Not innocent people. Because you are bleeding, don’t cut somebody else. Don’t drain the life out of someone because you allowed someone else to do it to you. That’s the typical example of the green-eyed monster called jealousy.

4 treat (a system) by allowing fluid or gas to escape through a valve: bleeding the radiator at the air vent. bleed someone/something dry (or white) drain someone or something of wealth or resources: this car has been bleeding me dry | the industry had been bled dry by piracy.
Their lives are slowly but surely slipping away. The Spirit of Python wraps itself around you until it squeezes all of the life out of you. You feel as though you can’t breathe. You lose hope. You have to bind these spirits in Jesus name, believe, and command them to never return to your loved ones or your household.

4 Unorthodoxical bleeding into one another. Unholy mixture as in: “I worked loosely with the oils, allowing colors to bleed into one another.”
Leeches will cause others to look at you and wonder exactly where you stand. Make sure that you aren’t becoming or have become an enabler to someone with this character. The devil uses them to ruin your name or ministry just as he did Eli and his sons. Eli’s sons were bringing prostitutes into the Temple and doing all that was unholy and unbecoming of a Priests household. They didn’t care about how their Father felt or what his status in the church was because they didn’t care about themselves. They were what we used to call “the weak links” of the family and everybody knows it.

5 Printing (with reference to an illustration or design) print or be printed so that it runs off the page after trimming: the picture bleeds on three sides | [with object] : Faye showed us how to bleed the images for our brochure layout.
When people look at the one being used and bled, they will not only see a picture of their righteous self but a mixture. Like a bleeding picture, people will see the evil beginning to bleed into that person’s persona. They will become double-minded and unstable in all of their ways until they repent and kick the blood-sucker in their minds to the curb. Their thoughts are now allowing them to live more carnally, giving up on being successful and victorious. They accept anything that comes by without being able to discern whether they are good or evil. They lose hope and others can see or hear it in their voices. They lose power and will go to anybody that shows them attention. They went from being filled with the Holy Ghost to being a half-filled glass. Containing a bit of the Spirit of God but not filled with Him wholly by exercising their relationship with Him. Are they saved? Yes but they are not reaching out to get as much as they can get from the Lord. God loves blessing His children. I want everything that God has for me Amen? Repentance is needed here before these people bleed out and die spiritually or even naturally. You ever hear the song, “Get right church and let’s go home?” Jesus is coming back for a church without spot or wrinkle. He’s coming for the Remnant and I am definitely going to be in that number.

Are you saved? Now is the time to accept Jesus Christ as your Savior. With all that is going on around the world, you need a friend. Jesus can be that special friend if you allow Him into your life. He is your helper and His Holy Spirit is your Comforter.
If you are not saved, just repeat the Romans Road after me: Say “Jesus, I repent of my sins, I am so sorry Lord. I believe that you died on the cross and rose 3 days later from the dead, just for me and I accept what you have done, I accept you as my Savior. Thank you Jesus, amen.” Now go find a bible believing, Holy Ghost filled church and learn of Him, it’s never too late. Your new life starts now. All old things are gone away. God throws them as far as the East if from the West. Now….go live, laugh and love!

Num 6:24  The LORD bless thee, and keep thee:
Num 6:25  The LORD make his face shine upon thee, and be gracious unto thee:
Num 6:26  The LORD lift up his countenance upon thee, and give thee peace.
Thank you for coming on today and I pray that your week goes by Victoriously!
