A Supernatural remedy for Bullying

A Supernatural remedy for Bullying

A tell-all sign that someone is being bullied is when they cower, drop their heads and walk away from the culprit. Others will stiffen their necks with their eyes flung open and pray that the bully doesn’t see them. Sadly this happens in the spiritual world as well. Every day we attempt to dodge bullies. Some Dodge the temptation to get angry or upset. Others Dodge sexual temptations or the temptation to steal or lie. The problem here is the word dodge. Some never recognize the fact that instead of confronting major issues they have spent a lifetime of dodging. To dodge something is to physically or mentally avoided it, in hopes that it didn’t see you. Dodge means the following: Avoid, duck, dodge, deceive, trip, shake, shun, sidestep.

Until we learn to confront issues as the word of God tells us to, we will continually be bombarded by that same thing until we pass the test. The test is, in all actuality, that you learn, as the apostle Paul learned, that God’s grace is sufficient. God gave you the same Grace to turn around and confront whoever or whatever is bothering you. You just have to do it his way.

When he said “my grace is sufficient for you” it’s as though he was telling Paul to get in there and fight, and not to be a chicken and to use his resources. I remember the days when some parents would stand there and make their child stand up to their bullies and some children may have gotten a spanking when they got home for being afraid. There are some parents who are like the Madea-type and take it a bit far by fighting the bullies themselves, not realizing that they are adults fighting someone’s child. Just as you cannot be saved for someone else you cannot continually fight all their battles either. A good parent would teach their child to stand up to bullies even if it means contacting a higher authority and reporting it. That is exactly what we Christians should do when we pray. When we pray we are contacting a higher authority. When we do that the bully is in trouble.

In Jeremiah 33:3 God tells us to ask him and see the great things that he has for us. We have to get that spiritual confidence, and know that greater is He that is within us then he that is in the world. Strengthen your faith by sitting back and watching God do the hard stuff without directing Him as though you were showing him how it should be done. If you could get it done you wouldn’t need his help.

Lately I was watching a dynamic preacher named Sheryl Brady. She reminded me of Deborah in the Bible. She was fearless when speaking and so full of God’s Spirit that you got the feeling that if she didn’t preach it out and open her mouth she would burst. I was so enthralled with her boldness and audacity and I spoke aloud “I want to preach like that”. By watching her I was filled with hope and strength. She preached God’s word without yelling at the devil and forgetting about the people, instead she confirmed the circumstances in the lives of the listeners and restored hope. When she got finished leading those tired souls in battle her hair looked as though she had been in the shower. It was swinging and wet. She didn’t care about her hair, make up or nails, she spoke and fought a good fight. You could see people raising their arms to Jesus. Some were in tears and some were shouting. Sheryl had called out their bullies and set the captives free. You can hear the yells of the people being delivered in the background. She spoke to their bullies without even mentioning their names. The Jesus in her took charge. She didn’t preach with Ministry-school-taught crescendos, or climaxes or fake illustrations, she preached in the power of the Lord.

Some people spend too much time talking to the devil instead of speaking out the word of God. Speak life into your situations. Jesus already beat the enemy when he died on the cross and arose. He got so much victory that Saints arose with him. That’s power when you raise the dead while God raises you. (That’ll preach.) This is only to show that your victories help others to get victory as well. This is why testimonials are so important. Testimonies not testaphonies. Jesus didn’t use lies to raise the dead.

We must all finally learned that Jesus died for everyone regardless of whether or not they are your best friend or enemy. satan is the enemy not people. We must remember that.

King David tried to reason with God over this same subject and Psalm 139:19 to 24. He said “if only God, you would kill the wicked! Men of violence keep away from me! Those who speak blasphemously about you and take no account of your thoughts. Yahweh, do not I hate those who hate you and loathe those who defy you? My hate for them has no limits, I regard him as my own enemies”. And knowing that God is a big boy and can fight his own battles, and possibly realizing his own attempt to reason with God in order to gain favor, David cleans up his thoughts and goes on to say”God examine me and know my heart, test me and know my concerns. Make sure that I am not on my way to ruin, and guide me on the road of eternity.” When you put your trust in God He will fight your battles according to His will. God doesn’t hurt people for you, they hurt themselves by considering you, a child of God, as their enemy. When they treat you horribly, they’re acting out of evil, not understanding that they are bringing evil on themselves.

Please see Colossians 3:25, Psalms 94:23, 2 Timothy 4:14, 2 Samuel 3:39, Psalms 7:15 and 16, Habakkuk 3:13, and Psalms 92:11.

Please read the above scriptures and be blessed. Deuteronomy 28 plainly states that if you would adhere to Gods word you will be blessed and if you don’t you will be cursed. It’s our call. As of now, the ball is in our court.

The remedy to a bad bullying situation is to pray. Fear not what you cannot see, God will come and interview in His own way. There may even be a lesson that He would want you to learn. Maybe He is allowing the situation to smooth your rough edges. When confronted physically speak the word. Are you ashamed of God the father or his son Jesus, the Savior? Jesus IS the word. When you do this you are throwing Jesus in front of you and hiding behind his back. Trust him. Do not have 1 ounce of doubt. Remember that it is not the person attacking you but the evil within them. They have an open door or doors which allow these evil spirits to come in to them. It could be jealousy or irritation coming up against you. In these days of electronics your cell phone can make someone jealous. Your car or your flatscreen TV or your Mac computer. Your makeup, hair, house, loss of weight, position on your job, tan or abs can stoke the fire. Their anger towards you can also be a product of coveting. They want something that you have. Oops another sin! Exodus 20:17 tells us not to covet. The Bible actually tells us to be comfortable with whatever we have. Proverbs Chapter 30 verses 8 to 9. “remove from me vanity and lies: give me neither poverty nor riches; feed me with food convenient for me, lest I be full and deny Thee and say ‘who is the Lord?’ or lest I be poor and steal, and take the name of God in vain.” There are some people who have made becoming rich they’re God. They over-look having a close relationship with Jesus and focus on purely….stuff! They don’t focus on sharing or giving it away but they just want to be “seen of men” as in Matthew 6:5. They may not want to admit it but they and the little old cat lady with a house full of “stuff” have a lot in common, they are both hoarders.

When you are being troubled on every side with no seeming remedy in sight, know that you have a remedy that is “out-of- sight.” The Dunamis, powerpacked, spiritually delicious and satisfying Word of God which tells us to commune with God through prayer. Pray my friends. It really works.
