When the end of a season has come.

Sometimes things can happen in your life that are not necessarily encouraging or uplifting. There are also times where the things that we think are good are actually bad and the things that you think are bad can be good for you. This is where discernment kicks in. Only God knows why he sends you certain places in life and why you have certain experiences. Christians always say “Here I am Lord! Send me!” but do they really mean it? God can send you to a place that changes your whole life, your character, your attitude, and your thoughts. Iron sharpens iron. Trials make you tough right? This is why we have to keep our mind stayed on Jesus because we never know what our assignment is going to be for the kingdom of heaven. It’s not always Cotton candy or sugar cubes. Sometimes your assignment can challenge you to the point where you wonder how long God is going to have you go through it. It can grind you into pieces and steal your peace and joy if you allow it to.

God can lead you into a certain time or place in your life and sometimes it could be for years and/or for only one certain purpose. You have to maintain your relationship with Jesus Christ, do the will of the father, stay prayed up, wait on the Lord and watch out for satan’s traps.

Recently I was talking to God about something that I wanted to know more about. It’s OK to ask God questions. He doesn’t mind. I was feeling quite weary and tired, losing my strength. And God’s Word says he will not put more on us than what we can take. I was holding on the best that I could in this certain situation but I didn’t feel like I was doing such a great job. It began to wear and tear at me to the point where it was like a pimple scratching at my heart. After prayer one night, I literally felt in my spirit that God was telling me, “let the dead bury the dead.” As you recall JESUS did say this a couple times in the word. What He meant was, “let those who mourn take care of their own business.”

Here are two of the Scriptures:

Mat 8:22  But Jesus said unto him, Follow me; and let the dead bury their dead.

Luk 9:60  Jesus said unto him, Let the dead bury their dead: but go thou and preach the kingdom of God.

When he gave me this message in the awesome ways that he does, I knew that my mission was over. Things began to lighten up for me and Blessings and newness started to pour in and I knew that was my father saving me from what I had been going through. The Bible says God knows just how much you can bear and that is the truth. I did accomplish one thing in the last four years though. That may have been the only reason that God use me in this certain situation. I’m about to tell you something that I never told anyone except my loved ones. I even wrote to Perry Stone one time and asked him about it but I never heard back from him yet. I noticed that when I go places it seems like they are coming to an end somehow or like the Mayans say, “the end of a cycle.” It can be a church, a restaurant, Drive in Theatre, a store, a book store, fishing hole, spring water sprout, a business of some sort. No matter what it is it seems like I always get there just before it shuts down. Now I don’t know if I get there just in time or if God sends me there in the proper time to perform an action that he needs to have performed. I know that sounds crazy but this has been happening to me for years.

I found some of the most beautiful little homely churches and in a little while after I got there they shut down. I’ve gone to some excellent restaurants with beautiful food, and as soon as I begin to enjoy it, they shut down and they had been there for years! Things like that.

I moved to town with a $50 flat sewage fee that was robbing the towns people and after I emailed a letter to the mayor, months later the flat fee went down to $30 and it had been $50 for years! I may have had something to do with it and I may not have but I choose to believe that I did. That may have been my assignment. You never know how God is going to use you. Oh, and by the way, the mayor emailed me back saying that he was taking care of his people the best of his ability. He didn’t sign his name to the bottom of the email or anything he just wrote “Mayor.” It was such a cold, dead answer I was shocked.

My daughter and I joke around sometimes and she teased me tonight saying that I was a reaper. She said that because something just happened today that was in the newspaper. A huge company that this place is well known for its about to close. It fought it’s last battle and is tired of losing financially. I believe this place may have been here from the early 1900s because some of these homes were built around 1920 and 1940 and were built around the company so that the workers can live close. Now it is on its countdown to closing. I’m not trying to say that I’m responsible for it but the timing is odd. This company is known for making the people sick and I believe that it has something to do with their bad health which is known worldwide. There have been documentaries done about it. It’s been on many television programs about these people having bad health. I sometimes wonder if that is why they seem to not have much joy and are not very friendly to strangers because of the poison that is being spewed in the air. I feel that it is slowly choking the brain cells of the people. I know that may sound harsh or ignorant but I truly believe that. Understand me when I say this though, you can never say “all.” All of the people are not suffering and joyless but a good number of them are.

I once had to contact the authorities about someone being a public nuisance all throughout the night and I was simply told, “They are from here.” And that was my answer. “They are from here.” I never did get help. In fact I was told to stay out of it. Ooookayyyyy…

I joined a few of their groups on Facebook and I was shocked to see how much illiteracy is in the people. I’m not talking about the children I’m talking about the adults. The spelling is horrible, the comments are horrible and they are horribly mean to one another. They curse each other out on their own Facebook pages in public. They correct each other about their children running around in the streets with no clothes on. Someone is getting shot here at least once or twice a month. Some thing is amiss. My daughter said something the other day that makes so much sense. She made a comment on Facebook that said something like “before moving to a new town check out their Facebook page. If the adults are illiterate, don’t move there.”

I tried so hard to be nice and courteous and was shut down and not accepted no matter what I tried to do on this certain “assignment .” I ran into some people who were not very friendly, not very happy or joyful, they were cold and callous and they certainly did not want to exchange apple pies. These people have been through a lot in their lives and are suffering. They have a high fatality rate, a high drug rate, and much alcoholism. You surely cannot borrow a cup of sugar from them. They break into empty apartments and houses to see what they can sell for drugs. They literally store the booty in an old broken down school House so they can sell it when they need more drugs and alcohol. And everybody knows this.

The devil has robbed them of their joy. They are caught up so badly that their area is like Sodom and Gomorrah and it seems that no one cares. I watch the politicians calling themselves cleaning things up but that’s not what they’re doing. They just smile for the camera and in the background things continue to go on with no change. It is so bad that the people are actually policing themselves. The grass is cut well and the homes looks so pretty and quiet but inside they are sick. What you see on the outside is not what is going on within. I’ve learned that just because the grass is cut and the house is cute it doesn’t mean it’s a good neighborhood. The place seems as though it is in the “Ichabod” stage. (God has left.) The area is constantly on the news to the point where you look forward to hearing the name of the town at 6 PM every weekday. Every day I said a prayer and I left this place up to God the Father in hopes that things would get better but it just didn’t. In fact it got worse. Only one person invited me to church and that’s because I was in a business with them and knew them personally. One thing that I can testify about is that God made things better for me. He gave me my Vision that I’ve been wanting for years and it is in the mix as I type this. I’ll announce that when it’s the proper time.

I appreciate you listening to this on either my Podcast or reading this on my blog and if you have any ideas please let me know. Feel free to leave a comment or a reply. I’m interested in hearing what you have to say about it. Satan had planted evil seeds in with the good weed and the evil seeds were growing up with the good wheat. JESUS was asked what should they (the disciples) do about it? Should they go in and pull out the tares from the wheat?

Mat 13:30  Let both grow together until the harvest: and in the time of harvest I will say to the reapers, Gather ye together first the tares, and bind them in bundles to burn them: but gather the wheat into my barn.

Mat 13:39  The enemy that sowed them is the devil; the harvest is the end of the world; and the reapers are the angels.

reap·er| ˈrēpər | noun a person or machine that harvests a crop. • (the Reaper) short for Grim Reaper.

Grim Reap·er| ɡrim ˈrēpər | noun (the Grim Reaper) a personification of death in the form of a cloaked skeleton wielding a large scythe: he met the Grim Reaper a decade later.

As far as the reapers this is what God’s Word says about it and if that is what I am or like, then so be it. Am I a Reaper? I was in the Marine Corps. I am a Warrior.
