When God gives you instruction…..listen! It may baffle you, seem contrary to your character or it may even hurt a bit, but listen anyway. We have to learn to go to the place where God sends us.
1. Why did God say to Moses to go to Mount Moriah? Any ol’ mountain won’t do. Genesis 2:2
2. Why did God tell Namaan to dip in the River Jordan in 2 Kings 5? Any ol’ river won’t do.
3. Why did God tell Lot to go to Zoar in Genesis 19:21-29. Any ol’ city won’t do.
4. Why did Samuel have to wait for the last son of Jesse to arrive? Any ol’ King won’t do. 1 Sam 16.
5. Why did God tell Mary/Joseph to have Jesus in Bethlehem? Any ol’ city won’t do. Micah 5:2 Mt 2:6.
What God has for you is special. You can do it your way but don’t complain if it takes you 40 years to complete a one week task. Fast if need be to hear from God. It doesn’t have to be a 40 day fast. Jesus Himself only fasted for 40 days once, therefore, it probably would be hard for us to do. The 40-day fast is not to be taken lightly. You can fast a day or a meal or from something that you totally enjoy for a few hours. God honors the fast.
We have to learn to listen to His voice. There are so many other voices in this world. A lady that I talk to on You Tube said something the other day that captured my attention. She said, “Demons recognize that you recognize them.” That sentence was awesome. If you’ve been going through anything lately, fear/fret not. God sees it all. No, you are not crazy. Those demons/spirits are stirring because you are wrecking their game. Plow through anyway. Please do not stop. Jesus walks with you. He will be your rereward.
8 Then shall thy light break forth as the morning, and thine health shall spring forth speedily: and thy righteousness shall go before thee; the glory of the Lord shall be thy rereward.
12 For ye shall not go out with haste, nor go by flight: for the Lord will go before you; and the God of Israel will be your rereward.
1 Samuel 29:2
2 And the lords of the Philistines passed on by hundreds, and by thousands: but David and his men passed on in the rereward with Achish.
13 And seven priests bearing seven trumpets of rams’ horns before the ark of the Lord went on continually, and blew with the trumpets: and the armed men went before them; but the rereward came after the ark of the Lord, the priests going on, and blowing with the trumpets.
9 And the armed men went before the priests that blew with the trumpets, and the rereward came after the ark, the priests going on, and blowing with the trumpets.
25 And the standard of the camp of the children of Dan set forward, which was the rereward of all the camps throughout their hosts: and over his host was Ahiezer the son of Ammishaddai.
