Praise the Lord for He is worthy to be praised.
Lately I and many of my online friends and family have been feeling bombarded with the fiery darts of hell. We’ve all agreed that it is an attempt to get us to stop doing the work of the Kingdom. The weather has been very hot and tempers are flaring as well. It’s been 101 degrees where I live and people are dropping rapidly from the heat. God said that these things would happen and told us to count it all joy. 1….2…..3…..4…..5…… (Counting).
2 My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations;
3 Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience.
4 But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing.
The enemy has no pity so crying doesn’t help. A great online friend who loves the Lord with all of his heart called me last night with awesome wisdom. Even though he was tired to the bone and ready to sleep, he gave me at least an hour of his time. That is love…agape love. He said that it is okay to rest. I am relaying the same message to you. He said that RevEssie is always ready to go, (and you too), in season and out of season, but Esther Scott needs rest (and you do too.) God is not mad at us when we rest from our ministries, if even for one day. Go fishing or something. Go to a nice restaurant and eat or locate a nice drive-in and see a good movie with your family. Don’t get sucked into the hubbub online of people and trying to see who does the most or who has the mosts members or posts. That’s not of God. If you only have one person listening to you or watching you, that is a soul. They are enjoying what you do. God may have sent only one on purpose. Eveybody’s ministry isn’t huge and neither does it have to be. Even Jesus had to rest. The bible says that angels came to strengthen Him. When He was on the boat and the storms came and the men became afraid, He was resting. He wasn’t on a cruise-liner eating Caviar. He is God in the flesh but His flesh required rest just as the humans that He had created before-hand.
If you wear yourself down by attempting to do more than what God intends for you to do, you will lose not only physical constitution but spiritual constitution as well. The enemy of your soul can see that. he hears your conversations, knows the right times to hit you and ‘with what’ to hit you with. he plants inadequacy within your mind and heart and you begin to step down from what once made you happy. Every little negative thing that is projected your way amplifies and you begin to believe things about yourself that are opposite of what God says about you. You lose confidence and you feel beaten up. People walk away from you, you take it personally and you begin to forget your mission. The Apostle said, “Those that leave us were not of us.” And just think, satan wanted you to think that it was you.
inadequacy |inˈadikwəsē|nounthe state or quality of being inadequate; lack of the quantity or quality required: the inadequacy of available resources.• inability to deal with a situation or with life: her feelings of personal inadequacy.
God is shaking the leaves on the trees, pruning and doing some house-cleaning. He is re-writing your clock and calendar with His stamp of approval. Let Him. Enquire of Him daily. Don’t do anything on your own. If He is silent everything is well. He knows how to chastise us if we really need it. He is not ‘hiding’ from you. Change nothing unless He tells you to. Stay on course.
R = Relax, God is still in control. Things will not fall apart without you.
E = Experience the joy and rest that Jesus did. He wasn’t ashamed to sleep or stop in a Garden to pray
S = Single out the most important thing in your life and focus on it, quickly……Jesus, your 1st love.
T = Take time to think about what Jesus did for you on the Cross. Meditation is important and prayer.
Yes my dear, you are qualified to do the task. satan may say that you are not, that’s his job, but the Blood of Jesus says that you are. Whose report will you believe? Sometimes you just have to lay back, let go and sleep in the boat peacefully while the storms rage outside. God’s got your back. Let Him do the hard work.
1 Peter 4:12-14
12 Beloved, think it not strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened unto you:
13 But rejoice, inasmuch as ye are partakers of Christ’s sufferings; that, when his glory shall be revealed, ye may be glad also with exceeding joy.
14 If ye be reproached for the name of Christ, happy are ye; for the spirit of glory and of God resteth upon you: on their part he is evil spoken of, but on your part he is glorified.
