Good Evening,
I was in a cooking mood today. I am not a photographer but I had to use my Android to take a pic of my food today. It came out so awesome. It seems that whenever you spend less time with it, the food just comes out better somehow I was raised around the old folk who took all day to cook and bragged about it. Their meats fell apart and melted in your mouth and their soups were awesome. Lately, I find that I can cook just as well without the slowcooker going all night. Then again, after raising two hungry children and having a daycare for 13 years, one learns to cook real quick! An enemy years ago decided to call the state on my daycare and told them that the kids weren’t eating. When the inspector came (unannounced), he found two crock pots going with beef stew in one and veggies or something in another. I can’t exactly remember what the dish was. I had made potatoe salad that day and a couple of sweets for the kids, cake and cookies or something. The man came in and was blown back by the smell of food and the quantity. It was so cool to watch God work in my favor. God even allowed me to find out that it was a disgruntled ex who called on me. (His whispery voice gave it away.) The inspector happened to know one of my uncles. We ended up sitting at the table talking about fishing tactics and my uncle. God is good.
Anywhooooo….
Here’s some unprofessional pics of my food today k? No, I didn’t wipe the plates or forks or whatever….it just looked good. I’ve seen some blogs that are great with pictures, I am not the one.
Veggie sketts!
My Apple Pie cooling….
It was awesome too. I had to use Splenda and it worked out great. Being Diabetic, I try to be careful with the sugar thing. My body used to read Splenda as a regular sugar years ago and I couldn’t use it. I loved Blue Sugar packets regardless of the company….Equal or cheapies. They say that Equal (Blue Packet Sugars) turn to formaldehyde when heated and that people were complaining about their joints while using it. My joints now feel better but it could also be because I started Splenda during the month of June….the weather warmed up, who knows?
Somehow I can use Splenda now and I got a good report from my Doctor about my sugar level, and etc.
Well, I hope that you liked my post. I also hope that it causes you to smile, enjoy life and treat yourself to something great no matter what the source. (Keep it legal okay?)
Love ya,
Rev. Essie
