Do you know any energy vampires?

The Word tells us that the devil comes to kill, steal and destroy and that’s exactly what energy vampires do. They have nothing else to do in their lives but harass you as a Christian. They are so active that you wonder whether or not they have jobs or families. They zoom in on you and watch your every move. They hoard all of your time and energy and have no respect to your privacy or rest.

Jesus had those who drew energy from Him but He told them to move on and practice all that they had learned. If someone in your life takes all of your energy or steals your glory from you or those that you love, (attention hogs), pray that Jesus rids them from you and gives them their own learning experiences, hoping that they grow from it.

The Apostle Paul went through this so badly that he asked God thrice to move it from him. God told him, “My grace is sufficient for thee.” God was letting him know that he shouldn’t focus on the ‘energy vampire’ but on His ministry instead. Can you imagine some poor fool, (pardon the terminology,) following Paul around calling himself or herself aggravating the Man of God, thinking that it was really working? Paul put his head up, stepped out and did his ministry for the Kingdom, vampire or no vampire. You should do the same. the devil loves attention, don’t give it to him. Go about Kingdom business and be blessed.
