Jesus, the lover of my soul

This is the way that Jesus looks to me when I dream of Him and it is the way that He looked in my last vision/visitation that I had of Him last month.

God would send His Son to be attractive not repulsive. I realize that the anointing is attractive in Christianity but just because we are Christians don’t mean that we have to be unattractive.

I don’t like the images that people have of Jesus being an unattractive, long-crooked-nosed, motorcycle-rider looking, sad and lonely, snuff-in-His-lip Jesus.

Whoever painted this allows us to see the love in this young mans eyes.   Looking at His face takes you to a deeper level, a personal level of Love. You almost hate to see His face battered and torn with His beard ripped out of His chin. I googled it but God bless the painter. They must really have a love for the Lord.

One Response to Jesus, the lover of my soul

  1. Jesus. Lover of my soul, let me to Thy bosom fly while the nearer waters roll, while the tempest still is high. Hide me, O my Savior, hide till the storm of life is past; safe into the haven guide. Oh, receive my soul at last!
This was my Confirmation hymn in church and your post made me think of this. Lovely and inspirational post Rev:)
