“Wherein times past ye walked according to the course of this world according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience: among whom also we all had our conversation in times past in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of our flesh and of the mind, and were by nature the children of wrath, eve as others.”
We needed then and still do, spiritual resurrection from sin which removes barriers. Our sinful flesh causes so many barriers but the enemy has made certain temptations in life so rough for us that we fall for some of them by default. If you walk in the flesh, you will fall for the lusts thereof. If you walk in the spirit, you have already been given ways out by God if you’d just look to Him.
Looking at the word “prince.” It means a ruler of natural boundaries. A chief ruler, one who is first in power. satan is the prince of this world. First it’s him then his boys, (followers, demons, spirits.) he makes all the calls in this game, (princehood) so if you don’t have Jesus as your quarterback you’re gonna lose the game. Opposites really do attract. And I’m not talking about Paula Abdul and the cat video either. When satan tries to destroy us, Jesus come in, being the Prince of Peace that He is. When the Prince of Death comes, the Prince of Life comes and takes over. There is no peace in darkness, but the author of Life brings Peace. See Acts 3:15.
Did not Jesus say that our strength is made perfect in weakness? 2 Corinthians 12:9. To us, that may seem like an oxymoron but it isn’t . An oxymoron is a figure of speech in which there is an unfair contradictory of ideas, such as “thunderous silence” or a “love hate relationship.” Notice “strength” and “weakness” are in the same sentence. The only separation between them is….Jesus. So allow Jesus to battle satan, don’t try to do it yourself. If you believe that Jesus has it all at hand, what are you trying to do? See Matthew 4. Where Jesus dwells, satan swells. satan offers Jesus the world and it’s glory after Jesus fasted for 40 days and nights. How can he offer Jesus something that is already His? Jesus was there with the Ruach HaKodesh, and the Father when all of this was created! What a donkey! (Pardon the pun.) And he’s been trying to do it to us ever since. And some of us fall for it! It’s Jesus’s! Whatever you want, don’t make evil packs with the devil and lose your soul….ask the Lord. That would be like me asking you to buy your own car. Give me the money and I’ll sell you this car.
Numbers are important to God. Jesus fasted for 40 days and nights. In 7 days was the Earth and all of it’s surroundings made. God rested on the 7th day, the day of completion. The number 8 means new beginnings. Jesus died at 33 and 7 years later He would have been 40. What major things happened during those years and on? Jesus’s resurrection Acts 2:31, Jesus’s body did not see decay. He was exalted by the Saints of God Ephesians 1:20, and then glorified in Acts 3:13-15. Jesus began preparing a place for us. The shedding of His body started the full power of God. Actually without his knowledge satan helped his own destruction. Some would call all of this the balance of good and evil but actually there is no balance between good and evil. God is good all the time and all the time God is good. He is the high and honorable one, the great and mighty maker of all things. He would never make evil equal to Him. Nothing is equal to God. If you are worshiping the Createe, Mother Earth, witchcraft, Wicca, etc., instead of the Creator, I pity your poor soul. Use Wisdom. You are not worshiping Full Power. I’d rather have Jesus. God would never make something that is identical to Him in power. Jesus tipped those scales long before satan even attempted to enter the snake with his “wannbe smart” self. God doesn’t tell the “heavenly messengers” everything or satan would have pre-known Jesus’s purpose. I suppose that just threw the angel worshipers off-track. (Terry Lynn Taylor and her Angel books.) Why worship something with “less” power? There would never have been a fulfillment if satan knew what Jesus was up to. This is a prime example of never volunteering too much information. Tell only what needs to be told. Please turn to 1 Corinthians 2:5-8. The Word of God tells us that even little birdies will tell a matter so watch what you say, how you say it and whom you say it to. That goes for all of us. Ecclesiastes 10:20 check it out. When someone acts like they don’t like talking to you, don’t force the conversation, don’t keep talking. NVTMI!
1Co 2:5 That your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God.
1Co 2:6 Howbeit we speak wisdom among them that are perfect: yet not the wisdom of this world, nor of the princes of this world, that come to nought:
1Co 2:7 But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, even the hidden wisdom, which God ordained before the world unto our glory:
1Co 2:8 Which none of the princes of this world knew: for had they known it, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory.
If you told someone your business or plans before you had a chance to act them out, surely someone would try to cut you off of the path early. The enemy doesn’t want you to execute your plans. The power of the air would definitely hear them and mess everything up for you. Joseph messed up when he told his brothers his dream. Jealousy in them caused them to hate their brother and sell him and lie to their father telling him that Joseph was dead. The powers of the air is something that you definitely cannot see but can definitely see and hear you. I believe that they best way to stop the eavesdropper satan is to learn to speak in tongues. Practice makes perfect. Open up your mouth and God will fill it with words that you never heard or spoke before. Sometimes it changes. Don’t worry about that. God uses whatever language He wants to confuse the enemy. If you must speak ahead of turn, do it in tongues.
Eph 6:12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
Eph 6:13 Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.

Eph 6:15 And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace;
Eph 6:16 Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.
Eph 6:17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:
Eph 6:18 Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;
Rom 8:38 For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come,
Rom 8:39 Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
