Hindering Spirits

There’s a rash of hindering spirits in the Body of Christ, especially offence.  They are very good at travel so beware.  They enjoy vessel jumping if you would only yield yourself to it. God‘s word tells us to rebuke evil spirits and uplift others.  We are to esteem others as being higher than ourselves but do we really do that in this “me me me, I I I” generation? We are supposed to rebuke these negative spirits.

Jas 4:7 Submit yourselves
therefore
to God. Resist the devil,
and he will flee from you.

Have you ever wondered why people sometimes can’t seem to rebuke?  Much like Eve, people give into temptation to see the outcome.  No one can tell me that Eve was that excited about a piece of fruit and she and her husband ran the entire garden. Living in your flesh instead of your spirit can cause you to be a thrill seeker. Most thrill seekers try to fill a void in their lives.  Thrill: sudden keen excitement, to move quiveringly.  The Kingdom of God is not keen excitement, it’s pure undivided joy and love.  Excitement and joy are like the difference between miracles and magic.  One is real, one is not.

There are various types of hindering spirits: Worldly allurements, discouragement, unbelief, offence, family ties, worldly possessions and imaginary hindrances.  Imagine that! Imaginary hindrances.  See Mark 16:1-5.

Mar 16:1 And when the sabbath was past, Mary Magdalene, and Mary
the mother of James, and Salome, had bought sweet spices, that
they
might come and anoint him.
Mar 16:2 And very early in the morning the first day of the
week,
they came unto the sepulchre at the rising of the sun.
Mar 16:3 And they said among themselves, Who shall roll us
away the
stone from the door of the sepulchre?
Mar 16:4 And when they looked, they saw that the stone was
rolled
away: for it was very great.
Mar 16:5 And entering into the sepulchre, they saw a young man
sitting
on the right side, clothed in a long white garment; and they
were
affrighted.
Mar 16:6 And he saith unto them, Be not affrighted: Ye seek
Jesus
of
Nazareth, which was crucified: he is risen; he is not here:
behold
the
place where they laid him.
Mar 16:7 But go your way, tell his disciples and Peter that he
goeth
before you into Galilee: there shall ye see him, as he said unto
you.
Mar 16:8 And they went out quickly, and fled from the
sepulchre;
for
they trembled and were amazed: neither said they any thing to any
man;
for they were afraid.

The two women were wondering who would help them move the huge stone away only to find out that it was already moved away. They suffered from imaginary hindrance.

One who gives into excitement repeatedly is a perpetrator, constantly looking for exhuberance and exhilaration.  You can tell the difference if you exercise discernment upon them.

Pretending to love is not Godly as well.  It can become a hindrance to others. Judas pretended to love.  It leads to deception, self-deception, lying and offence.  The Jesus in us can tell when Judas just kissed us!  satan has these loveless persons deceived if they think that someone is too dumb to know that they are being fake.

satan is a the Master of Hindering Spirits. Please see Isaiah 14:12….

Isa 14:12 How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of
the
morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst
weaken the
nations!
Isa 14:13 For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend
into heaven,
I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also
upon the
mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north:
Isa 14:14 I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I
will be like
the most High.
Isa 14:15 Yet thou shalt be brought down to hell, to the sides
of the
pit.
Isa 14:16 They that see thee shall narrowly look upon thee,
and consider
thee, saying, Is this the man that made the earth to tremble,
that did
shake kingdoms;
Isa 14:17 That made the world as a wilderness, and destroyed
the cities
thereof; that opened not the house of his prisoners?
Isa 14:18 All the kings of the nations, even all of them, lie
in glory,
every one in his own house.
Isa 14:19 But thou art cast out of thy grave like an abominable
branch,
and as the raiment of those that are slain, thrust through with
a sword,
that go down to the stones of the pit; as a carcase trodden under
feet.

Look what happened to him.  He is a heretic, a repeat offender and got cast out.  Know anyone that you can consider a repeat offender?  Those who continuously go to prison for the same offences, perhaps not learning from their experiences.  The definition of insanity is repeating the same thing over and over and getting the same results. Titus 3:10 says:

Tit 3:9 But avoid foolish questions, and genealogies, and
contentions,
and strivings about the law; for they are unprofitable and
vain.
Tit 3:10 A man that is an heretick after the first and second
admonition  reject;
Tit 3:11 Knowing that he that is such is subverted, and
sinneth, being condemned of himself.

We all make mistakes but when someone continuously makes the same ones over and over, there most likely a spiritual problem that exists. Yes, that includes jail jumpers as well.  They go from one jail to another.  There are videos on You Tube that show that most men who continuously stay in jail either have a mental problem or sexual partners that they miss.  Hey, it’s not my words so please don’t shoot the messenger.  The above scripture may be where American courts get the “Three strikes you’re out” law.

A heretic is a professed believer who maintains religious opinions contrary to those of his or her church. (Ex: Non-tithers, etc.)  I really liked a mans videos on You Tube because he was straight to the point and didn’t play games with what he had to say.  I like it that way. One day, this man made a video, (and I’m just typing it the way he had it written,) “Damn the tithe, pay your bills!”  After that, I had to stop watching.  It was a little over-done.  All he had to do was study and find different verses on ‘tithing’ and print them and allow the reader to make up his mind.

One thing that satan may not realize is that he leads people right to Jesus. I call him an “undercover evangelist” if that makes any sense.  Not to give him any credit due but he leads ‘most’ straight to Jesus unless he runs into those lonely, unwise ones who fall for the ‘messes’ that he presents to us on a daily basis. He was a hindrance in Heaven so God found that he’d work better on Earth.  Isaiah 45:7 says, “I created evil.”  God created him to do what he does.  Nothing happens without God knowing it.  When the bible says in Isaiah that satan was a beautiful angel until a spark of evil was found in him, that doesn’t mean that God didn’t see that spark coming.

Isa 45:7 I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace,
and create evil: I the LORD do all these things.

To those military readers out there, I will put it this way, satan was an Officer and then he became a grunt., trained for combat.  {If you, the reader, are a Marine, “Semper Fidelis!” Ooourah!} It says in Ecclesiastes 3:1 “To everything there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the Heaven.”  It’s also in Eccelsiastes 3:15-17.

satan is jealous of Jesus, the Christ.  he wanted this Earth to be his.  he wanted to be like God and have us worship him instead of the Godhead which includes, God, His Son-Jesus, and the Holy Spirit. satan tries to pollute the body of Christ because he is now polluted himself.  Get it?  he doesn’t want you doing good because now, since he got his coveted Earthly Kingdom that will burn up soon someday, he realizes that he made the wrong choice and wants you to do down with him like Nino Brown on New Jack City.  Nino said on the witness stand when he got caught selling drugs in a bad neighborhood, “If I’m going down I’m taking everybody else with me!” (paraphrased.)

I was so upset one day at someone.  They had offended me so horribly that I cried that day.  I asked the Lord to help me.  I couldn’t figure out what I did to deserve it. I was very upset and said some things that I shouldn’t have until the Lord spoke to my heart and said, “You’ve done the same thing.”  I had to shut up, sit down and apologize. What goes around comes around and that’s not just an old wives tale or sentence. Check this out:

Col 3:25  But he that doeth wrong shall receive for the wrong which he hath done: and there is no respect of persons.   Isn’t that something?  Tell me that God hasn’t covered absolutely everything? God is awesome.

God shows us the difference between conviction and condemnation.  The Holy Spirit convicts, satan condemns. he tries to condemn you to hell.  Make sure that your friends use only the word of God when you are confronted with certain situations in your life. After all, birds of a feather flock together, make sure you flock with Eagles.  If they are bad, that’s not healthy for you. Dust attracts dust, creates a dirty atmosphere and the worms do eat it thereof. Worms leave fertilizer so someone else can plant where you failed to.  (Oh my, that’ll preach.)

Hindering spirits dwell in households. Your household should be holy and if not, find the mistake and ask God to correct it.  If offence knocks at your door, let Jesus answer it. After all Jesus SHOULD be your door right? Let’s hope so. If your household is not holy there is a sin that needs prayed out like David and his sin with Bathsheba.  He opened the door for sin to continue in his future.  God took the product of his sin….the baby.  Don’t sin and God won’t take the product of your sin.  Go to a Casino where people cuss, drink and smoke and hit for big money.  Don’t say anything if someone robs you from the door to your car. Have a baby outside of your marriage and don’t feel bad when it grows up to become crack addicted and robs your wife and children just to get a hit. Not all do but anything is possible.  David’s baby died, he had his girlfriends husband purposely put on the front lines of a war where he could get killed and did, his own son Absalom tried to kill him and take over the Kingdom and did for a brief moment, and his other son Abner raped his half sister.

Temptation festers. David had to fulfill his lust because he left God out for a moment, yet all the while creating an absence of holiness in his bloodline.  It stayed that way until Jesus. The moral to the story? There is no greater King than King Jesus.

Remedies for Hindrances:

Place the Lambs blood at your door posts and live as though you believe in the Lamb.  No arguing or offending.  People can go out into the world and get troubles.  Be a good example. Acts 16:31 “Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and thou shalt be saved and thine house.” The next time that offence comes around, say or sing , “Bless the Lord oh my soul and all that is within me bless His holy name.” For it says in James 1:2 “Count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience but let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing.

Remember, whomever you offend may be God’s “least”.  Mat 25:40  And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me.

Be blessed!
