God is good! Gotta give my Father, Savior and teacher some props early this morning. While people are on Facebook, we as Christians know to put God first. Without Him, where would we be? Sure, you can’t see Him but you can surely feel His love all in your heart and life. That’s one of the things that I like about Him, He doesn’t have to prove Himself, He just…is! The Word says, “God is.” Heb 11:6 But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.
I pray that your day is a blessed one today. I know some people who are going through some pretty bad times and they don’t deserve it. They are really nice people and only the enemy of our souls can pick on someone like that. Someone told me once that you can tell when it’s the devil because he comes too much at a time. he tries to bombard you with mess. Have you ever noticed that? Have you ever had things happen to you so much in one day that you wonder what you did to deserve it? Fret not, you did absolutely nothing to deserve that. satan wants you to think that you did something wrong. he wants you to think that it is you! Get it? If he can make you feel inadequate in any way, he’s got you. And you’ll be surprised ‘who’ he uses to do it as well. Sometimes people hurt our feelings and they don’t mean it. Some people just have what I call ‘open doors’ in their lives for the enemy to use them. They just don’t realize how they are being used by the enemy to aggravate others. It’s simple, if you are doing anything that ‘Bogarts or bombards’ anybody else’s life without the recipients permission, you are an aggravation. Jesus passed His Word along to people and if they seemed to not want to be bothered, He moved on. I see nowhere in the bible where Jesus forced anyone to listen to Him or talk to Him. Notice that the only ones that you see Jesus forcing is the devils and demons. He made them tell Him their names. ”Why is thy name?” Jesus would ask. They’d answer, “Legion for we are many.” Jesus Jesus Jesus…..that’s good y’all, you have to admit it. There’s revelation in the above sentences. Did you get it? Only demons force their way on people and only Jesus or the name of Jesus can force them back. When something evil is sent to me I send it back to the sender in Jesus name. “Dry places.”
Mat 12:43 When the unclean spirit is gone out of a man, he walketh through dry places, seeking rest, and findeth none.
Just like in the end of existence as we know it. They will be trying to leave that hot, dry place called ‘hell’. Just as the rich man tried to get Lazarus the beggar to dip the tip of his finger in water and bring it to him, they all will be asking. I like that story. We had bible study lately and a friend of mine named Aaron brought up a good point. The rich man abused the poor man in real life and tried to do the same in the afterlife. Evil people won’t even respect us in the afterlife, while we are in Abraham’s bosom! One thing I like though is the fact that there is a great gulf fixed between Heaven and Hell where we will be able to see people but not get to them….thank God. I don’t think we will be watching them for an eternity though because the bible says that God is going to make a new Heaven and a new Earth. We will be down here eating grapes and cheese with Jesus and drinking the best of the fruit of the vine! Hallelujah!
All that the poor man wanted was some food. He had to eat crumbs from the rich man’s table. Now Lazarus is in Paradise and the rich man is in hell and the rich man STILL tried to get Abraham to make the poor man ‘send’ him to him with water! What part does the rich man not get? They are in the afterlife where it no longer matters. In Hell they will still try to use you. Not only that, this story shows that the rich man wasn’t in his right mind. The Word of God says that Lazarus has pus and sores on his flesh. Would you ask someone with pus and sores on their flesh to dip their finger in water and bring you some? Numero Uno: The rich man was crazy or, Numero Dos: Lazarus must have been healed after he got to Heaven. Check out the story for yourself below and tell me what you think:
Luk 16:20 And there was a certain beggar named Lazarus, which was laid at his gate, full of sores, Luk 16:21 And desiring to be fed with the crumbs which fell f rom the rich man's table: moreover the dogs came and licked his sores. Luk 16:22 And it came to pass, that the beggar died, and was carried by the angels into Abraham's bosom: the rich man also died, and was buried; Luk 16:23 And in hell he lift up his eyes, being in torments, and seeth Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom. Luk 16:24 And he cried and said, Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus, that he may dip the tip of his finger in water, and cool my tongue; for I am tormented in this flame. Luk 16:25 But Abraham said, Son, remember that thou in thy lifetime receivedst thy good things, and likewise Lazarus evil things: but now he is comforted, and thou art tormented. Luk 16:26 And beside all this, between us and you there is a great gulf fixed: so that they which would pass from hence to you cannot; neither can they pass to us, that would come from thence. Luk 16:27 Then he said, I pray thee therefore, father, that thou wouldest send him to my father's house: Luk 16:28 For I have five brethren; that he may testify unto them, lest they also come into this place of torment. Luk 16:29 Abraham saith unto him, They have Moses and the prophets; let them hear them. Luk 16:30 And he said, Nay, father Abraham: but if one went unto them from the dead, they will repent. Luk 16:31 And he said unto him, If they hear not Moses and the prophets, neither will they be persuaded, though one rose from the dead.
And another thing that I noticed is that even after being corrected, the rich man tried again to send the beggar Lazarus to his (rich man’s) family to warn them of impending doom! What nerve! He had the audacity to think that Father Abraham would allow the beggar to run around for a sinning rich man who was already in Hell. As though someone in hell really has any weight against the Man of God or Heaven itself.
My brothers and sisters, it’s a new dawn a new day, live your life to the fullest. That doesn’t mean to find every sin that you can and exercise it. That means to do the best that you can do and leave the rest up to God.
If you haven’t accepted Jesus as your personal Savior yet, just repeat these words ‘aloud.’ “Dear Jesus, I repent of my sins. Please forgive me? I don’t want to go to Hell and burn for an eternity. I want to accept you as my Savior right now and live the good life with you in Eternity. I want to see the new Heaven and the new Earth the way that you meant for it to be. Teach me your ways. Send people into my life who add and multiply not subtract and divide. Thank you Jesus for accepting me.” Now shout! You are a member of God’s family. That’s it! No begging, no spins, no fireworks! You made it! BUT! You must now go learn about Him. Get a good bible, dictionary and concordance and begin to study the Word. When satan kept trying to tempt Jesus, Jesus answered him with The Word. ”For it is written….for it is written…..for it is written.” If that’s the way Jesus did it, that’s they same way that we should do it. When someone comes up to you and says, (example) “You’re not a Christian!” You say, “1Pe 2:9 But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light:” Well, it may take you a while to learn scriptures but it’s better that you started when Jesus came back than to not have known or done so at all.
Welcome, thanks for reading and……feel GOOD today!
